This next Sunday 25 October is Shoebox Sunday, the last opportunity to drop them off and celebrate together sending them on their way, giving kids in the developing world a really special Christmas. Two top-quality former CMS missionaries to the Spanish-speaking world (John Lovell and Tim Swan) will be speaking, and then taking questions live as part of an evening live-streamed on Facebook on Saturday 8 August from 7:30pm-9:00pm. You do not need a Facebook account to view the event ...online, but if you register in advance you can get hold of some Spanish recipes too. So why not have a family night in, or get a group of your friends together at your place, to enjoy a Spanish dinner before the live-stream begins, and then a night of encouraging mission updates and prayer? 06.01.2022 Like the rest of the bible, the book of 1 Kings is Gods word. It speaks of a gracious God who longs to restore his broken world. Yet, as anyone who has tried to read it will tell you, it can be a challenge to understand. There are lots of unfamiliar names, places and concepts, and its easy to lose your bearings. Thankfully, the Bible Project has produced some great resources to help us understand what 1 Kings is all about.
