25.01.2022 What do dragons, water and honesty have to do with Worship? Find out Sunday as we continue our sermon series on the Values of Christ Church Lavender Bay! Hope to see you at either our 10am or 5pm services, in person or online. https://www.cclb.org.au/bookings.html

22.01.2022 From our Sunday sermon series on the book of Daniel, this verse from Daniel 7 reminds us that no matter what happens, God holds the future! "Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him."Daniel 7:27

19.01.2022 "How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation."... Even as King Nebuchadnezzar himself said (in Daniel 4:3), the Lord Almighty is with his peopleeven in exile and hardship! Daniel and his friends resolved not to defile themselves. And God honoured their devotion and unwillingness to compromise, protecting them from a fiery furnace and giving them discernment to speak truth to the kings in power. This Sunday, we'll even see God's provision in the Lion's Den! If you've missed any of the past sermons/services from the Daniel series, you can check them out here!

19.01.2022 "Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." Colossians 3:12 This week, may God give us opportunities to offer kindness to others, as He has offered daily kindness to us. (photo by Priscilla du Preez)

It provides very helpful background for exploring this timely and inspiring book! May we, like Daniel and his friends, be faithful people of hope to those around us!

12.01.2022 It's exciting when members of our church reach out to others! It's as simple as grabbing a cup of coffee with a neighbour or friend to show the love of Jesus in a practical way. So check out "Coffee with a friend" with Helen Wheeler and consider inviting someone for a (Covid-safe) conversation over coffee. Find out more HERE: https://www.cclb.org.au/coffee-with-a-friend

04.01.2022 Wherever you are today, whatever you're doing, remember to: "Give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works!... Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!"Psalm 105:1-4 See more

01.01.2022 We pause to pray for one another: " . . . that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, giving joyful thanks to the Father . . .
