To receive the link for this Sunday please click here (https://crckingston.us8.list-manage.com/subscribe...). John 3:1-21 | The Power of the Cross... Nicodemus is intrigued by Jesus. He is an extremely diligent at trying to be good and is a leader of his people. He recognised something special about Jesus, but as he approached him to find out more, he received a very surprising answer; he must be born again. Jesus doesn’t have something physical in mind, but something spiritual. Nicodemus (and us) need a totally different kind of birth that we cannot manufacture by our learning or good behaviour. We need God to give us a spiritual birth that brings true life. It’s effects, like those of the wind are obvious. John concludes that there are two kinds of people, those who will believe and receive the life provided by God through Jesus death on the cross, and those who will reject Jesus and be condemned and perish. We are warned not to prefer what is dark and comfortable, but to instead turn to Jesus in faith. See more
