24.01.2022 Resorting to words, when there's nothing else. Sometimes comfort is found in putting characters on the screen and seeing them dance with each other. " ... The cycle of the cycle of the cycle I’d thought I left it all behind, Another lifetime, another me. Got rid of all the tears I’ve cried, So my bloodshot eyes can see. But circling above me those hungry wolves, Claws in, spitting out half-truths: The lives I lived before, without a breath; The deaths I died before, without a death. And so and so and so continues without fail, Collapse, exhausted, from chasing my own tail. You said to me don’t worry Another season will come and go, But you never told me "sorry" How was I supposed to know. Melodic tones caught in faux greeting, All that’s left of a memory fleeting. So I say to myself, don’t worry Another season will come and go, But I never tell myself sorry, Sorry for stopping myself grow. No algorithm for this one, It’s flawed by self-creation. The clouds have eaten up the sun; That train has left all stations. Bailing out too many times I put myself on loan; The I-don’t-matter-you-don’t-matter, binds and breeds the seeds I’ve sown. I can’t even blame you anymore, And I wouldn’t if I could. I’ll always blame myself some more, Should have known better than I should. There’s no iota of truth in what I say, But I am sincere to the grave; I’ll bide my time if I please may, Cos mistakes take time to pave. So I think I’ll leave it all behind, One more lifetime, one more me. Just gotta rid these tears I’ve cried, So my bloodshot eyes can see. "
