24.01.2022 It's National Volunteer Week 18th to 24th May, 2020. Every year we enjoy a lunch to show our appreciation to our Volunteers and this year was no different. Even thou we are social distancing, we came together to enjoy lunch. We thank everyone who embraced technology and joined us for lunch over Zoom.... The Board of Management provided a meal that was organised to be delivered to each Volunteer, so they could enjoy a lunch together over Zoom. For those Volunteers we did not see on Zoom today, a BIG THANK YOU for all your time and effort you bring to our Centre. We look forward to seeing your faces again soon. Volunteers put in so many hours each year to make our Centre what it is today, vibrant, energetic and meeting community need. It is fortunate for us that there are people in the community who are so giving, not only of time but care and thought.

24.01.2022 Happy kids! This family of PALS kids wanted to share the activity pack they received from us to help them keep their minds active while staying at home. Due to the COVID-19 situation we are unable to have the PALS kids get together, so with this in mind it was decided to put together activity packs for those families who needed more activities for the kids to do at home.

23.01.2022 Please Help Us Due to the upgrade of the reserve, the mosaic tiles in the pathways are to be lifted and we are going to have some of them inserted in our entryway. We have more tiles than we can fit in our entrance, therefore, we are asking you to vote for your favourite tiles. ... Over the next few days, we will be posting different themed tiles for you to vote on. We will be grouping them as best we can. Please comment on the picture with the number tile/s you like. All the tile images are printed and put up in our foyer. If you would rather come into the Centre to vote, you are welcome to do so.

22.01.2022 Important update!! Centre opening next Term. With the restrictions easing, the Board of Management have decided to reopen the Centre's doors to all as of the 20th July. Everyone who attends the Centre will need follow the 1.5m social distancing rule.... Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We are working together with Food 4 Futures, an initiative of Baptist Care SA and Community Health Onkaparinga, to provide the Community with freshly made meals for $2 each. All meals are made at the Centre by Food 4 Futures on the day. We have been able to subsides the meals to create an affordable cost of $2 with the support of City of Onkaparinga Remember: This menu is the standard menu for every week. Vegetarian: Pumpkin & Sun-dried Tomato Pasta Ethiopian Lentil Curry Vegetable Quiche Gluten Free: Ethiopian Lentil Curry with Basmati Rice Thai Green Chicken Curry with Basmati Rice There will be a copy of the ingredients that can be viewed on site if needed. Limits are 2 per person with a maximum of 8 per family unit. Families must come and collect their own meals. Please note, you can not pre-order meals.

Working in a Primary School based life skills program two afternoons per week. The activity was to list 10 uses for a chopstick, and then write a 50 word story. Eat Macaroni, Hold up hair, Flagpole for sandcastle, Scramble an egg, Mark where seeds are planted, Point at someone, Dot painting, Toasting marshmallows, Eat soup, on a diet, Tighten a tourniquet. ... Dieting Seven hours on diet, eating soup. Still weigh the same. So I try eating it with a fork. Still weigh the same. Tried eating soup with a chopstick. 24 hours later then still weigh the same. Now very hungry. Ate the chopstick! Still weigh the same. Giving up dieting!
