Washing your scalp & roots with a cleansing shampoo 2-3 times can help with this, and only applying minimal conditioner to your ends. I especially love the @cprhair scalp balance shampoo, and this is what I use in salon. I will now put in place new systems to prevent any complications if this isnt the case. If you arrive an...d your hair is still greasy or unwashed (even just in a few areas) an extra charge of $50 will be applicable for a wash & blow wave, if youre unable to go forward with that, your appointment will have to be cancelled and moved to another day. Sometimes it just happens, theres a 100 different factors to why extensions come out, natural hair texture, natural oils, however here are a few things to consider 1. HEAT: Do you use your hair dryer close to your scalp? Run the straighteners over the tapes? Heat will cause the glue in your extensions to become greasy and slimy, making them prone to slip. Try air drying, or keeping a cool heat on the dryer. 2. WASHING TOO SOON: The... glue in your extensions sandwichneeds time to cure and bond fully, you need to wait 48 hours before wetting your hair. 3. OILS: Oil based shampoos, oil products and naturally oily hair are killers of extensions sticking. I know the balancing act of trying to keep your hair clean, but also not showering too much is hard when it comes to extensions! Try a clarifying/balancing shampoo to balance your scalps oils and keep those oil products away from the roots 4. TOO ROUGH: Extensions bonds arent concrete, when brushing, washing, styling and sleeping - take caution. Be gentle with your hair, and try not to pull to hard. Hold your extensions at the root when brushing, focus on your scalp when washing, plait your hair to one side at night! I know it seems scary how much precaution you need to take, but its really simple and you blink and youre adjusted. I mean, it really is worth it I will always do my best to ensure youve got this knowledge behind you! Christie
