25.01.2022 Storm over Maroochydore. I entered this image in the BOM Weather Calendar 2021 comp. Out of 1400 entries it was in the shortlisted 200 but did not make the top 12 for publication.
24.01.2022 This morning's sunrise at Coolum Beach
22.01.2022 In this lockdown I'm rediscovering images I hadn't edited before. This beauty is @ruaskarla, shot in Queenstown NZ in 2018. Model: Karla Ruas Photographer: Christina Stubbs Hair :@bri_oro Styling/Makeup: @kenzooofficial
21.01.2022 Our Clivea is flowering. I potted this in 2015 when we moved house.... it struggled for the first few years in a pot. This is the second year it has flowered. So colourful!

19.01.2022 Some photos from our trip to NZ in 2018.
16.01.2022 I love shooting a sunstar. this was at Girraween last week.
16.01.2022 Last weekend we visited Hervey Bay. When we left Coolum Beach it was raining heavily but I was confident that the weather would improve on Sunday. It rained all the way to Hervey Bay, then stopped. On Sunday morning the sun shone and we boarded our Whalesong cruise where the skipper informed us it could be rough. I was determined to persevere even though I am not a good sailor. And I had taken ginger tabs. Well, it was worth feeling a bit queasy. We were treated to a wonderful spectacle culminating in this young (male?) practicing breaching. Apparently they do this to remove parasites like barnacles. Using burst shooting I filled up an entire 32gb card which ran out soon after this shot! Whew! I didn't know until I got home to the computer if it was sharp.
16.01.2022 Raindrops on a clothesline. It caught my eye, sparkling in the early morning sunshine like a spiderweb.
15.01.2022 I have been enjoying exploring flower photography recently. This is a crocus from my garden.
15.01.2022 I'll give you a daisy a day dear.... A daisy in my garden yesterday. If you click to full screen you will see that the centre is a lot of little florets- like a sunflower. The outer ones have opened and spilt their pollen. The dots on the petals are pollen. Enjoy!
15.01.2022 Queenstown NZ, July 2018 6 images handheld, stitched in Lightroom.
14.01.2022 Sunset at the jetty, Heron island. What a wonderful place- I loved snorkelling amongst fish, coral, sharks and rays - wishing I had an underwater housing for my camera. I settled for landscapes and birds.
10.01.2022 The same flowers 3 different ways. Which do you like best?
08.01.2022 A rainbow out the window means better times ahead. This photo is from 2018 in Queenstown, NZ, but it seems very appropriate for 2020. I am amazed at how easy it is passing the day doing not much..... read the online newspaper, walk to the beach, make coffee, read a book, a bit of housework here and there- if it doesn't get done there's always tomorrow. Sort out photo filing, rediscover old photos, re-edit them because my editing skills have improved since then, oh, look at the time, it's drink o'clock!
05.01.2022 I don't take a lot of bird photos but I was particularly pleased with this one. Shot in 2018 in NZ, on the road to Milford Sound. On a roadside stop, a family of Keas arrived near us and this is an adult feeding a juvenile. Bird photography usually involves a lot of time and patience, but this was a case of seizing the moment!
05.01.2022 Some more whale pics from beautiful Hervey Bay.
02.01.2022 Walking the dog and a rainbow at Hervey Bay. I was trying to catch 2 kiteboarders in front of the rainbow but they moved away from me too fast. You can see them in the background.
01.01.2022 I recently visited Girraween National Park, in the Queensland granite belt. Spectacular granite boulders and were were in season for spring wildflowers. On the second day our group set out to climb The Pyramid. I didn't quite make it to the top but got to enjoy some spectacular views along the way.
01.01.2022 I've been enjoying exploring macro photography recently. This is a dandelion seed with a water drop.
