09.01.2022 "Step into the rainforest" This was a total experiment and am sore from head to the tail of my back to prove it! :D I LOVE fast an loose but it is always a challenge for me. Once I started it I fully planned on making it quick but I just had to keep tweaking and to be honest was quite philosophical about it, deciding that it really did not matter so throw caution to the wind. I didnt really like it until the last minute, and now I am still a little unsure as I followed the rules and then broke them then I tried to follow them again Crikey!! It was a rollercoaster. Anyhoo, I could have left more light and with its many layers I think most wont like it as a watercolour but pushing the boundary is what keeps me interested. A4 size
09.01.2022 Sunshine on stalks! Leanne had a beautiful bunch of flowers and i was inspired to paint the light. I have been getting bolder doing these Watercolour landscape paintings, not only did they save my little studio from a certain doom with all my workshops drying up but it gave me a chance to practice other art (other than scribbles which i do a lot!) I was given a lot of them to do! I am still catching up with them the list is long! If I have not gotten to yours yet and you like this loose emotive style and want me to yours on your "yet to be done" landscape then let me know and I wont go in as tight on yours! :D

07.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who has ordered memory scapes, and Scribble Dogs, i have been busy working to the mothers day and birthday deadlines. and all caught up now so can get back to all the wonderful scapes waiting to be made! If you have a deadline let me know and i will prioritise yours and to all those not in a hurry thank you so much for that too, cos pressure and painting kinda dont mix! But they will all be done :D

04.01.2022 Had a mega morning at the studio today, peeps lining up outside! 2 hours flew by like it was 5 minutes! :D Here is one of the ones that went today, "Pepper" A very nice surprise for me was the birthday girl herself was brought to the shop to happen upon her frens portrait as she wasnt expecting it and saw her as they stopped outside the studio. I drew Pepper in a pose she hasnt seen from a composite of images that I was given and so it was all the more special as little Pepper is no longer in this world, so seeing her portrait was like seeing her again.
04.01.2022 A beautiful exotic bird! Looks like he has a feather bow tie and a scarf! Nature is wonderful. A Native New Zealand Bird called a Tui, It only lives in the trees, never lands on the ground, drinks nectar and can mimic other birds. It has 2 voice boxes!. SOLD

02.01.2022 Do you know anyone who is caring for someone with Dementia and would like them to have a creative outlet, meet people, have conversations and a fun time for a couple of hours? Then let them know about our group at The Little Art Cottage. It is an artist run group run by Christine Butler who also is a trained health care worker. Currently on a Tuesday mornings for a 2 hours session specifically working with Dementia and Alzheimer clients. Booking essential PM me for more details on how you can join in as numbers are limited due to space so be quick to get in to secure your loved one a place!
