23.01.2022 As children are back at school parents need to ensure that they can both see well and eye team their muscles to perform well in class. Optometrists can detect things that parents sometimes cannot. Make sure your child's eyesight is examined at least every three years.

22.01.2022 Coming into the warmer weather you should check out the new modern version of transition lenses. They now come in some very fashionable colours, just watch the video...

20.01.2022 This is a global issue regarding childhood myopia. We are recommending that all children have two hours of outside time each day. Just to combat eye fatigue everyone perched in front of their computer screen/s for hours should follow the 20/20 /20 RULE . This means you need to look far away ( at least 20 feet or 6m) , every 20 minutes and focus for at least 20 seconds . It helps to stretch the eyes in different directions rather than staring at one fixed position. To remind yourself to do this put your phone on vibrate or have a message to yourself programmed in.

20.01.2022 There is my mother’s recipe Christmas cake to share with everyone visiting the practice this week. A thirty year tradition continues thanks to my sister, Donna’s, kindness. Thankyou!

16.01.2022 As an optometrist who advocates children spending two hours outdoors per day, to reduce the risk of shortsightedness, this local training event arranged by Council, seems like a good suggestion. Any budding golfers out there?

16.01.2022 Can you relate to this feeling?
