25.01.2022 Let's talk about intentional living. What is it? Living your life intentionally means you are making conscious decisions every day based on your core values and beliefs, and that every choice you make is in line with the way you want to live your life. Meaning you are living your life with purpose, as a posed to living on auto-pilot, making crash decisions, mindlessly consuming. So how does one begin the journey of living intentionally? Define your Personal Values - What do... you believe most in? What is most important to you? Set Life Goals - What do you want to achieve out of life? What career goals do you have? Health goals? Personal goals? Financial goals? Take small actions, often - You don't need to change your life all at once. Once you've defined your values and set your goals, make 1 conscious choice each day that will move you towards your best life. Learn to say NO - This is probably the hardest action to take but if you want to live intentionally you must learn to say no to the things that do not fit within your goals, values, wants, or needs. Remember there is no one size fits all when it comes to intentional living, just focus on you and what your values, goals, and best life would look like and take small steps towards that each day. 22.01.2022 If you are waiting for some majestic, motivational unicorn to show up every day to help you achieve your goals, you're going to be disappointed. So I want to share some advice on how you can build discipline to get you through those times when you aren't feeling motivated. Sometimes a lack of motivation can simply be overwhelm in disguise - Write down you goal & then break that goal down into small, realistic steps. Focus only on completing each step at a time.... Find a sustainable routine that works for you and your life, schedule it in your calendar and work on it every single day - one of the keys to building discipline & creating habits is through momentum. Understand that motivation is fleeting so choose the path of least resistance. If you find yourself not wanting to do it, find something else to do, no matter how small just do something that's going to continue moving you forward. 20.01.2022 I would wake and be on the go right away. Stressed, worried, constantly thinking of all the things I needed to do and that was just the first 5 minutes of my day. I was sitting in an office and surrounded by concrete walls. Uninspired, lacking energy and lacking zest for life. Fast forward 5 years and now I have a morning routine - I take time for myself. 18.01.2022 Back in the corporate world I was introduced into the saying The power of 3 and this is something that has stuck with me and I bring into my business. How I apply this in my life and my business is that I focus on 3 key items that I will focus on each day. These items are my top priority and I complete before I move onto anything else on my to-list.... When I focus on just these 3 things, my productivity goes up and I am more focused and get it done a lot quicker than thinking about 5-10 items at one time. Give it a go in your day - Choose your top 3 things which will be your priority and see how much more productive you are.

17.01.2022 Are you a PERFECTIONIST? Do you feel like everything has to perfect? You won't take pictures unless your hair is perfect and makeup is done. You sit and re-read the same email over and over again to make sure that you have the perfect words typed out. You don't speak up at home or at work as you constantly worry about what others may think. Ever thought that all of these things are actually holding you back! What I am about to say is the truth. . . NO ONE IS PERFECT! ... I can completely relate to trying to have everything perfect. To have everything put into a nice little box, to make sure that everything on the outside looked like I was in complete control. The fact is that when this is happening, you are simply masking what is really going on. This is why I removed the word PERFECTION from my vocabulary. Why? Because; Everyone makes mistakes - Even me Everyone is uniquely different - Yes, even YOU! Everyone poops - Yep, even Oprah Why do we want to be like everyone else? Why not embrace everything about ourselves, flaws, and all. Stop comparing yourself to others. Stop waiting for everything to be perfect. Allow yourself to be seen FULLY. Allow your true authentic self to be seen. Let go of the perfectionist in you and LET YOURSELF SHINE
16.01.2022 Just over 5 years ago I said YES to me. I was soo tired, broken, broke and in a very toxic relationship. Saying YES to me sounded like the most selfish thing I could ever do... but it turned out to be the most kindhearted and liberating experience.... Most of you know my story yet I rarely share the pain and emotional turmoil I suffered for so many years. After learning to say YES to me, it allowed me to: stop living in shame. to let go of the idea of having a perfect life and start living a fulfilling life. start taking charge of my own life and destiny. stop judging others. stop putting people on a pedestal as all I was really doing was putting myself down getting rid of the energy vampires sucking the life out of me. surrounding myself with like minded women that support me and light me up. 14.01.2022 Never again will I be a bystander in life -- I celebrate life every day. The first I really felt that I was no longer sleepwalking in life was when I was talking to a family member about my journey and the idea of starting The Corporate Escapists and I could see their eyes light up. It might seem a small thing but how many times have you just been in a conversation and not actually be IN the conversation. Being IN the conversation, I was able to feel their energy, listen to ...their response and take in every moment. I wasnt thinking about what was for dinner or who I needed to call. I was present, in the moment. Every day now I get to celebrate life because I have found my purpose. I am creating the life I want NOT what is expected of me. I am chasing my own dreams. 14.01.2022 It wasnt like some light switched on and I became a Transition and Lifestyle coach, so much happened that led me to this pathway. There were numerous life events that took place, from being broke and broken to being in a toxic relationship, life had definitely dealt me a few lemons, to say the least I was tired and worn out. I had a broken record playing in my head. Questions needed to be answered. I kept asking myself, Who am I without my fancy corporate job title?, W...hat I am I going to do next?, I wanted to find answers. I needed clarity, and to take back control of my life again. So the decision was made. It was time for me to get back into the drivers seat, to take back control. Reset my internal GPS and change the direction of my life. Life coaching was all new to me. 10.01.2022 Do you remember when you where a little kid and had dreams of your very own tree house? Dreams about who you wanted to be, where you would travel or even who you wanted to be. Its crazy that as we grow up we forget how to dream.... We just continue to walk through life. I say when I worked in the corporate world that I was sleep walking through life. 10.01.2022 Stress and overwhelm, some people think that is simply part of life. What if you can recognise that when you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed (or even both at the same time) is that we have in fact not set a direction of our own life. For myself, these feelings are my own guidance system that tell me when I am not in alignment.... I am not following my passion. I am not being my true self. I am not speaking my truth. I am not staying true to my own values. Knowing this allows me to reset, refocus and realign. It is also a time where I check in with own goals and make sure they are still the goals I want to focus on. It is ok to change course, to change your goals. 07.01.2022 Some asked me how long I had been working on The Corporate Escapists vision because to them it felt like I had achieved such overnight success. I must admit, I was completely taken back by this observation. The Corporate Escapists as it is known today has been a 2-year journey for me, full of ups and downs, setbacks, wins, rejections, tears & celebrations. 06.01.2022 Every day I see posts from people who have dreams of escaping their day job and following their passion for running their own business. These always hit me hard because not too long ago, I was that person. What feels like a lifetime ago now, I was working in a corporate job whilst running a side business, but I just wasnt ready to show up for it. I wasn't ready to be seen as the person behind the business I kept the business a secret because I felt ashamed for wanting mo...re out of life. I never thought I would even be successful or have the financial security that I needed to commit to my business Also at the time, the truth is that I was trying to keep up with the Joneses and having my corporate identity, defined who I was. And for what? To pretend to be someone else? To just keep plodding along in life and not live it with passion? To not believe in myself or think that I was good enough! When my life came crumbling down in 2015 I knew things needed to change. Want to know what I did? I gave myself permission to find ME, permission to explore what was going to light me up, permission to let go of what was not serving me and to live life on my own terms Now today I am following my passion and helping people all over the world escape their corporate jobs and find their passion in life. 03.01.2022 Have you ever had one of those moments when you look back and realised just how far you have come? I have been having a lot of pinch-me moments over the past month. Everything I have been working towards over the past few years is coming into fruition and it was time for me to take a quick glance back and reflect.... I say to my clients that we need to appreciate and own our story in its entirety because, where you were in the past, all the issues, the problems, the struggles, the good the bad and the ugly are a reminder of the old you... The person you used to be and gives us the strength and encouragement to keep moving forward and embrace the person you are today. For me, it is important to acknowledge the past as without it I wouldn't be the woman I am today. Strong, independent, capable, kind, loving, caring, compassionate, spiritual, a woman on a mission to inspire others to live their best life. Next time you have that pinch-me moments, stop - breathe - and reflect on where you were and where you are now... AND CELEBRATE. Because you have achieved all of this.
