Christmas in Pyrmont is run by volunteers, who help with: - collections for the Uniting Harris Centre and Mustard Seed Christmas Appeal - childrens activities - decorating the square - selling raffle tickets... - setting up and packing up equipment - giving out programs and information - putting up signs - publicity, including putting up posters - spreading the word - staffing a community stall. 14.01.2022 Sadly we have taken the difficult decision to cancel Christmas in Pyrmont this year. We were hoping to hold a COVID-safe event, but that is not possible given the ongoing restriction on numbers at outdoor events, and requirements of physical distancing. We hope to hold an event in 2021 to bring our community together and celebrate with everyone as soon as it is safe to do so. We will support the collection of funds and school supplies by the Harris Community Centre, who deliver Christmas hampers to those in need in our community. This year there is a greater need than ever, and so we hope that everyone will give as generously as you can. More details about how to donate will be posted as soon as they are available.
