25.01.2022 The annual Woodford Lions Christmas Street and Lantern parade is on TODAY! The lovely town of Woodford will come to life tonight from 5pm as the lantern parade is held along Archer Street, Woodford The annual Christmas Parade brings along a Petting Zoo, Roving Musical Trio, Num-Bums, a Ukelele group, local girls dance team, the Human Trolley Bus and lots more!... Plus, it wouldn't be a family event without a great food offering. Joining the Christmas Carnival this year are crowd favourites Neshama and Sushi to the Maxx plus plenty more that cater to gluten-free and vegetarian diets! Just a reminder that tonights Springers Solar fireworks display has been cancelled due to current conditions. The full amount has been donated to the Premiers Bush Fire appeal, with the money split between Australian Red Cross, Lifeline Queensland, the Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland. Our local rural fire service is onsite tonight to answer any questions and accept any donations you have. A little goes a long way for these guys.

It's been a year of uncertainty and restrictions, but we are excited to announce that the Christmas in the Moreton Bay Region's Christmas Carols program has been the green light to go ahead! Running every Sunday from 29th November through to 20th December, the free family-friendly events will look slightly different as a result of COVID-19 and the implementation of additional safety measures. You will need to register your attendance to each signature Christmas... Carols event this year. The allocation will exhaust quickly so make sure register early or "yule" miss out! KEY CHANGES to 2020 Christmas Carols program: Attendees must register their attendance online to receive a free ticket. Everyone wishing to attend are encouraged to pre-register online to be the first to hear when registration opens for each event. Santa’s Village won’t be going ahead this year. In lieu, families will enjoy the new Santa’s walk-through experience at each event. Redcliffe’s Christmas Carols have been moved to Dolphin Stadium to better manage contact tracing requirements.
