25.01.2022 I visited the Baldivis Busy Bee ELC we did in conjunction with Fred Chaney earlier this week and the place is looking very good 12 months or so on. :)

21.01.2022 I like this house. Prefabricated, sustainable and attractive! https://architectureau.com//prefab-off-the-grid-courtyar/

21.01.2022 A wonderful example of restoration such an icinic interior. https://architectureau.com//griffins-capitol-theatre-res/

20.01.2022 This article from Architecture AU is well worth a read. The house it features is wonderful. Love it! :) https://architectureau.com//rosebery-house-by-andresen-o/

20.01.2022 Our latest medical centre project is to go ahead for a DA after being granted approval for the scheme amendment for the land. Its taken some time to get this far and we thank Allerding and Associates for their diligent work to date and our wonderful clients at the Read Street Medical Centre for their patience. Here are some images we prepared for the of the proposed centre:

20.01.2022 I was cleaning out the cupboard FB posts of previous projects and found this one. It reminded me of how simple apartment developments can be to maximise a sites potential.

18.01.2022 These are some of the projects CSA have worked on over the last few years. Many and varied, Cafes, Restaurants, offices, apartments, mixed use, child care medical and single houses.

18.01.2022 These are some shots taken by Haydn Parker of McCorkell (the builder) of our latest ELC at the corner of David and Hensman in Kensington. It was the evening of the day the scaffold came down! :)

15.01.2022 CSA Solutions is back! The Christmas/New Years break is over and we are back at the office ready to work on your next project. During the break the latest Mashawi Restaurant opened at the Currambine Central Shopping Centre. New Years Eve there was very enjoyable, seeing your designs coming to life is very rewarding.

15.01.2022 Play this, what an architect! :)

14.01.2022 One of my all time favourite Architects FLW designed a property called Taliesin West a home, a studio, a retreat and a to interact. Take a guided tour of the garden room. Thank you Jay Simpson for posting this on Promotingart (its a FB page Jay runs so visit and like/follow please as its really good.) :) https://www.facebook.com/jsimpsonart/

14.01.2022 Gavin Hegney was on the ABC radio earlier this week and during the segment he mentioned that good design in smaller (downsize) homes was very important. Designs that cater for aging in particular got a mention. Great segment Gavin, keep up the good work. If anyone reading this wants to talk about good/smart house design give me a call please.

14.01.2022 I have just fallen in love .... with a bath! :) https://www.bathe.net.au//kaldewei-meisterstuck-centro-du/

13.01.2022 This is worth a read. :)

13.01.2022 I visited our newest centre at Kensington this morning and took some photos of it nearing completion. Its looking good.

13.01.2022 I was speaking to an associate the other day and the houses I designed in Victoria Park were mentioned. They still look good and well over 15 years old now.

12.01.2022 I was looking through some old posts (as you do) and came upon this one! I cant believe that this house was designed by CSA in 2013. It was designed for a block in the wilds of the South West unfortunately it was never realised so the design is just sat in the files waiting for someone who wants a rather special home.

11.01.2022 Just take some time out to read these two articles about the reuse of existing houses, both designers did a great job by the look of it: https://architectureau.com/articles/cantala-avenue-house/ and ... https://architectureau.com/articles/marine/

11.01.2022 I just posted this on the Early Learning Design Solutions page. If you are in early learning please check out that page for more.

11.01.2022 One of my projects at Curtin was a feature on one of my favourite Architects, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his work. One of the houses I wrote about was Hill House. Its now being preserved in a large box! Clever solution to make sure a gem is preserved. https://architectureau.com//carmody-groarke-preserves-ch/

11.01.2022 This is an interesting read. Small lots indeed, what do you think of this initiative? https://architectureau.com//wa-govt-introduces-policy-fo/

11.01.2022 To all: Dear Friends, Clients and Associates As the level of uncertainty grows, were here to reassure all of our clients that it is business as usual at CSA. My office remains in full operation and all in it are closely following the WA Health guidelines . All of our team are practicing social distancing and the office is regularly cleaned and disinfected.... The nature of my business means that it can operate from home if necessary, thankfully things have not come to this and CSA is still operating from Inglewood. I want to ensure you all that work is ongoing and there has been no disruption to date at all. If you are working from home please stay safe and if you need to contact CSA just call or send an email to the usual numbers and address. We are currently operating to our normal days and hours of business, any changes to this will be notified on line at: https://www.facebook.com/Christopher-Senior-and-Associates-132239896794882/ Please remain safe during this trying time, Regards Christopher Senior B.Arch

09.01.2022 I do understand that this is an advert for concrete but the principals are the same and can be used for all dense masonry materials. I anyone wants further information or wants a building designed that incorporates thermal mass please give CSA a call.

09.01.2022 I like this idea, integrate the community facilities with retail and medical they forgot to mention Early Learning . we didnt as the local centres at Calleya and Alkimos as both have Early Learning Centres planned into them. These are Stockland Centres and we have worked closely with them and i2c architects on each project. https://architectureau.com//oma-designs-suburban-mall-in/

09.01.2022 The latest early learning centre we have designed in conjunction with Taylor Robinson Chaney Broderick is nearly ready to open. When they have finished dressing the play/activity spaces I will post photos.

08.01.2022 I have just managed to get some photos of a caf CSA designed at the Ranges Resort in Karratha. A section of the pool deck and cabana were co-opted into the design which includes a fenced area to keep the children safe when you eat as the caf opens onto the largest pool in Karratha. The kitchen is compact but comprehensive and the dcor casual and comfortable. Drop in for a meal, snack or coffee the next time you are passing. Its appropriately called My Second Home. :)

08.01.2022 This is an Article from ArchitectureAU about the Islamic Centre in Newport (Melbourne) by Glenn Murcutt and Hakan Elevli. This building and its planning, construction and design was the subject of the film Glenn Murcutt: Spirit of Place which I saw last year. The film gives a wonderful insight into the design of this building and the journey taken by the designers, clients, builder and the community to make it a reality. https://architectureau.com//australian-islamic-centre-of-/

08.01.2022 I noticed this extension on Eighth Ave Inglewood, I am not sure this approach to heritage and conservation works. This is actually a unit development which has kept the front of the original weatherboard house. To me it looks like the poor old house is being eaten by its new neighbor, a sad solution. What do you think?

07.01.2022 CSA are please to announce that Christopher has been accepted as a member of the Association of Learning Environments. CSA are looking forward to engaging with the association and fellow members to advance our understanding and knowledge of early learning design. Please check out the association here: https://www.a4le.org/A4LE/

06.01.2022 I was in Kensington last night and stopped off to take some photos of the new Busy Bees Early Learning Centre we designed in conjunction with Fred Chaney at Taylor Robinson Chaney Broderick. The polycarbonate cladding looks pretty good backlit. :)

06.01.2022 Some shots showing how the new centre in Kensington for Charter Hall and Busy Bee is coming along. Its looking good, well done McCorkell who is our builder. :)

06.01.2022 I just love this house. Echoes of the Farnsworth House by MVDR! Simple and so well placed in the surroundings. :)

05.01.2022 The new Mashawi Restaurant at Currambine Central is nearly ready to open.

04.01.2022 Not long after I arrived in Australia I was introduced to the work of Gabriel Poole a wonderful Queensland based architect. His house designs are just so good. Sadly he has left us but he will be remembered and his work will remind us of how fortunate architecture was to have him: https://architectureau.com//gold-medallist-gabriel-poole/

03.01.2022 This range of lights came in the post earlier; very smooth. :) Xero Lighting.

03.01.2022 Two interesting and informative videos to watch if you are into timber. :) Enjoy. https://mailchi.mp//the-future-of-timber-and-technology-a-

03.01.2022 An interesting article in AA caught my attention today: https://architectureau.com//a-new-world-surviving-a-cris/
