18.01.2022 Year 7 excursion write-up by Tia S: The Year 7s went on an excursion to Tynwald Park in New Norfolk. It was about a 50-minute bus ride to the park but it was totally worth it. Everyone was allowed to bring some lollies on the excursion as well which was a complete bonus! The first thing we did was play some fun games. We did a chocolate treasure hunt which also turned into a fun, exciting raffle. All Year 7s had a number written on the back of their chocolate and whichever nu...mber was picked won an amazing Sherrin football. After that everyone had free time running around the park having so much fun. After a while Mr Burrows gathered all the students for another game. Everyone was going to be making paper planes and then we were going to see who could throw their’s the furthest. There were three winners and they won a mini Sherrin football. Then we all played a big game of silent ball. It was really fun. After that we had another play at the park until finally it was time for the big BBQ. By then it was 12 o’clock and everyone was ready for lunch. We all lined up for a sausage and there was even lemonade. What a delicious treat! After a yummy feed we were ready to go for a walk. We walked through the bush following the river to where we were meeting the bus which was ready to take us back to school. What an amazing, fun excursion. Can’t wait for the next one! See more

11.01.2022 The new and improved Fernery is complete and today our Year 10 students had the opportunity to enjoy the space for the first time. Updating the Fernery was the legacy project of our 2020 prefects, who wanted to create a communal space for all students to enjoy during break times. The space is already a hit and today students could be seen playing giant chess, listening to music and chatting with their peers during break times. The Fernery will be available for all students to use during the week. It will be open exclusively for Year 7 students on Mondays, Year 8 students on Tuesdays, Year 9 students on Wednesdays, Year 10 students on Thursdays and will be available for students in all grades to use every Friday.
