25.01.2022 Thanks to everyone for attending our Prefect Afternoon Tea on April 1! We hope everyone enjoyed the afternoon meeting new prefects, gaining valuable insights, having fun and of course playing Kahoot! (With heaps of food and laughter.) We discussed about how we could improve youth empowerment at our schools and in the wider community, and each and every single team did not disappoint! 23.01.2022 Hey everyone, as our prefect initiative we will be hosting a prefect afternoon tea which allows different schools prefects to interact with each other and share ideas. We have chosen to host the event as a Biggest Morning Tea which is a Cancer Council initiative aimed to raise money to fund cancer awareness, research and support for those who have it or have had it. Any money you guys can spare would be great to help us reach our funding goal and provide these vital funds to the Cancer council, all of which can be donated on our website(the link is below). 1 in 2 Australians will get cancer at some point in their lives which is a very horrible and sad statistic and just shows the importance of raising these funds! 21.01.2022 Mr. Viriya Chittasy will be the second guest speaker of our 2018 leadership camp! Viriya was former school captain at Chatswood High School, graduating in 2007 with UAI of 97.9. After graduating from UNSW in 2012 with 1st class honours in Electrical Engineering, Viriya worked in Ausgrid for 8 years as both an engineer and an analyst, leading multi-billion dollar financial projects and proposals. More recently, Viriya started a commercialisation consultancy company after developing, patenting and licensing an invention to a global company in the US, and advised and worked with international brands such as Electrolux and also advised CSIRO. He has also advised Telstra as a senior strategist helping them to transform their business.

Ming Long is a director in funds and investment management, real estate, education and professional associations. She has held leadership positions including CEO and CFO roles with a track record of taking on challenging roles, including successfully navigating the global financial crisis. She is the only Asian woman who has led an ASX-100 or ...200 listed entity in Australia. Ming led the establishment of the Property Male Champions of Change, was named as one of the 100 Women of Influence and was a finalist in the Telstra Business Womens Awards. She is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, a Fellow of Finsia, a Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors and Chief Executive Women. Ming is a non-executive director and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee for AMP Capital Funds Management Limited, shes also on the board of Chartered Accountants, Diversity Council of Australia, and a member of the Finance & Audit Committee at Sydney University.

At lunch cupcakes and other baked goods, as well as soft drinks, will be available at the top of the quad. All funds raised will be going to the 100% hOPE Childrens Choir from Uganda.

Preorders are being accepted at the bottom of the learning space every lunch time this week (excluding Friday due to the Athletics Carnival).
