24.01.2022 It’s NAIDOC Week and it’s a time to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements. It’s an opportunity to recognise the rich contribution, achievements and innovations emerging from Indigenous Australians that make our country and society stronger. This years theme: 'Always Was, Always Will Be'. recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. NAIDOC stands for 'National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee'. Its origins can be traced to the emergence of Aboriginal groups in the 1920s which sought to increase awareness in the wider community of the status and treatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.'

12.01.2022 With Western Australia currently on COVID restrictions Phase Four, we are working hard to ensure we are still following safety procedures and hygiene practices. We were lucky enough to have a visit from our local FIRE FIGHTERS, which are doing COVID auditing of local business'. They provided us with a new COVID-19 Safety; Plan, Guidelines and Certificate. Collaborating with our local authority and government sources, guides us positively towards providing a safe environment..., that considers the needs and requirements of the; staff, children, families and visitors. 09.01.2022 Our cars can sometimes reveal too much about ourselves. With this week being 'National Child Protection Week', it is easy to recognise behaviours that we may need to change or be aware of, to ensure our children are safe. But do you ever wonder what adults are doing that might be putting themselves, or those with them, at risk.

08.01.2022 Congratulations to our August 'Volunteer of the month'. Ilonka Jarvis has been volunteering at Chuckles Childcare for the past 10 years. She has spent countless hours; sewing, cooking, taking photos and attending all of our events. Each year she bakes cupcakes to sell for our Red Nose Day. This year she single-handedly made over 600 delicious cupcakes for our educators and families. What an amazing effort. ... The educators are particularly grateful for all her generous food donations which includes her famous cupcakes and home-made sushi. We sincerely thank Ilonka for everything she does. To our wonderful Volunteers: The key to our success, rests in people like you. That go out of their way to say, how can I help you?
