25.01.2022 It is with much sadness that I bring news of the sudden and unexpected passing of Jeanette Lokot. For 10 years from 1999, Jeanette, Frances Pitt, Freda Fraser and Michele Hancock ran an outreach craft group called "Surprise Craft", so named as we were never quite sure what we'd be doing! Those who knew her will remember Jeanette as a fun-loving, vivacious girl with a steadfast faith in her Lord. Please remember her family in your prayers - husband Phil, sons Tim, Matt and Josh and their wives. Rest in peace dear friend. Your spirit will live on in our memories.

21.01.2022 The Oakleigh Church family extends its sympathy to Tony & Francine Riches and family, on the death of Tony's Mum. Here is Tony's message, and a lovely family photograph. "Sharing with you my friends that my dear mum passed away yesterday after a short bout with cancer. It's been a wonderful blessing to have a mother like ours. The seven of us were truly the lucky ones to have such a wonderful influence and role model. She modelled Christlike faith and tireless service as the Proverbs 31 woman that she was. This photo was at Billy and Cora's wedding not so long ago. It was so kind of her to make it to WA in summer to be a part of it all. So many happy memories...Hope to see you in heaven soon. Thankful for all mum's prayers and love for me, Francine and ever growing family."

Isaiah... 40:11 This is how God is with his children. And perhaps we can recognize our Shepherd’s voice by its gentleness (and maybe it’s our own/others’ voices that speak to us in the harsh and judging way our souls may have come to expect?). Listen for the Shepherd’s gentle voice throughout your day today. What do you hear? What is your sense of God’s heart for you in the situations of your life right now? Can you lean into trusting that gentle voice?

08.01.2022 It is with sadness, and yet joy in Heaven for her, that we note the passing of our dear sister Patricia Ridgway. She is now with her Lord and Saviour, after much pain and suffering. Patricia was a much loved member of our congregation, with a steadfast and unwavering Faith. Rest in His arms Patricia. We will always remember you.

There will be ...an open-air funeral this Friday at Wesburn for family members. The service will be Live Streamed so you can join and pay your respects if you would like.
