25.01.2022 Photos from day 6. Today the Church’s gables were finished, and 7 of 12 roof trusses were constructed and raised into position. Teacher training came to an end with a special closing ceremony in honour of Suz and Kevin. The newly constructed school desks began receiving a coat of paint, while freestanding bookshelves for the new library books begin taking shape. We also ended the day with a delicious stew prepared by the team’s cook, which contained a fresh chicken named Isobel that we were generously gifted the night before
25.01.2022 Day 4 update: Block work on church walls and roofing prep continues. Teacher training and Kindy workshops for teachers in the local area are in full swing. Lighting to the four teachers homes at Isla School is completed. Desk production begins, a long with a few minor upgrades to the team’ toilet facilities
25.01.2022 The team arrived safely yesterday and are enjoying the tropical weather and stunning views in Port Vila today before heading to Tanna tomorrow morning.
24.01.2022 Celebrating a great effort on a rainy Saturday morning. All 12 roof trusses of the new church building have been raised and are currently being secured into place . Check out a snapshot of our morning.
23.01.2022 When a ladder just won’t do and there is no scaffold in sight - improvise! A few crates, concrete blocks and roofing materials will get the job done Vanuatu style ...Well done to our building team for their creativity (and bravery!!)
23.01.2022 The team were involved in Church ministry today, breaking up into small groups and visiting the local Churches of Christ here on Tanna.

12.01.2022 The team have spent a productive morning in Victor Harbour preparing some custom made school desks that will be shipped and assembled on site in Vanuatu. We can’t wait to see these desks being put to use. Bring on September!
11.01.2022 Team leaders had a catch up today, and are ready to set things in motion. If you are curious about going on a short term mission trip, or feel God nudging you to step out with Him, then come along to our meeting on Saturday 24th February at 9.30a.m. Venue to be confirmed.

05.01.2022 Day 5 update: Bricklaying of the church gables continues along with roofing structure preparations. Kindy teachers receive phonics training and get creative with some painting workshops. Teacher resource packs are prepared for distribution after training is completed. 17 new desks for the school are assembled ready for sanding and painting.
