19.01.2022 LONELINESS AND THE FESTIVE SEASON Loneliness, like chronic stress, taxes the immune system When the media flash headlines similar to the sentance above, it often gives the impression that scientific research has discovered something new and extraordinary. The bible, however, is very clear that we were created for relationship. As it says in Genesis 2:18, it is not good that man should be alone.... Poor quality and superficial relationships, which can make us feel lonely, are linked to a number of health problems. More specifically, research indicates that loneliness can lead to a number of dysfunctional immune responses and increased blood pressure. Researchers saw that people who were lonelier produced more inflammation-related proteins in response to stress than did people who were more socially connected. This essentially means that they reacted more strongly to stressful situations than the people who did not consider themselves to be lonely. Chronic inflammation is linked to numerous conditions, including coronary heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, arthritis and Alzheimers disease as well as the frailty and decline that can come with aging. Feeling lonely, which is different to just being alone, not only affects our health, but also affects sleep, with more disruptions in the night. Loneliness has even been shown to spread like a virus amongst people! At the heart of quantum physics is the law of entanglement, which shows that every thing is linked and that there is no space/time dimension when it comes to existence. Your thoughts affect yourself, and the world around you. Our brain structures and brain circuitry are specifically geared to relate to and work with each other. In fact, interconnections and interrelatedness are fundamental laws of brain function. You are designed to be honest, open and connected to people. This of course doesnt mean you should open your heart to everyone, which is not only dangerous but also impossible. You do, however, need to have a few people in your ife who you trust and love. We are all aware that there are different levels of relationships; however, the point of a good relationship is to be honest, genuine and vulnerable. Reach out, make friends, smile, laugh and give 100% in your unique way. Remember, you have something to offer that no one else can offer. And when you give your 100%, you prevent loneliness from taking over your health and affecting others; your health, peace and happiness will improve! This Christmas we encourage you to reach out to someone you know or sense is lonely. Tis the season!

15.01.2022 SOAP? I was part of a discussion-panel on National Television. Except for the moderator I didnt know the others on the panel, but one gentleman introduced hims...elf as an atheist. The moment we were on air he challenged me saying You preach that there is power in the blood of Jesus. I dont believe it. The blood of Jesus is already around for 2000 years but the world today is worse than ever. My reply was that there is also a lot of soap in this world, yet many people are dirty. If I was dirty and stood next to a piece of soap, I would not automatically be clean. I would have to stretch out my hand, take the soap in my hand and apply it to my body. The blood of Jesus works similarly. We all need to ask Christ to wash us from sin and then, by faith we apply the remedy. (1 John 1:7) When you do it now, you will be amazed. Jesus will save you. 04.01.2022 My father Billy Graham was once asked, Where is Heaven? He replied, Heaven is where Jesus is and I am going to Him soon! This morning, at the age of 99, he ...departed this world into eternal life in Heaven, prepared by the Lord Jesus Christthe Savior of the worldwhom he proclaimed for nearly 80 years. He will be missed by our family, his colleagues, faithful ministry partners, and, yes, many around the world. But what joy he has to be welcomed by God the Father, and be reunited with my mother in the presence of Jesus who speaks peace to eternal souls. What about you? When you depart this world do you know with certainty where you will spend eternity? You can know this today. Jesus said, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). The One who comforts weary souls has given us this promise, Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me I go to prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also (John 14:1-3).
