18.01.2022 Congratulations to all of our 2020 Churchill Fellows. They were honoured with a delightful reception at Queensland Government House yesterday afternoon followed by a wonderful awards dinner at the Customs House. Whilst I don’t have any of the professional photographer’s images to share just yet, I thought I would share a few images of dinner taken by committee member Sharon Gilchrist I did have good intentions of taking photos but the event proceedings took all my attention. ...Fortunately the evening was a success and greatly enjoyed by all who attended. We were particularly thrilled to even be able to host the dinner given the recent easing of Covid restrictions. I also took a few grainy images of the Government House reception so have included those. Thank you to His Excellency the Hon Paul de Jersey AC Governor of Queensland and Government House staff, Co-Patron the Hon Margaret White AO, David Trebeck National Chair, Dr Richard Roylance QLD Selection Committee Chair, the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, MC Inspector Paul Biggin, CFAQ committee, and Customs House. 03.01.2022 A "sneak peak" at the first class venues selected for the NCCF#2021, Brisbane, 8-10 October 2021. Convention venue, the State Library of Queensland, offers us a contemporary venue on the banks of the Brisbane River. Transportation is a cinch with the river Cats operating regularly AND it is just a short walk from Brisbane's CBD plus on a bus route. The Welcome Reception at Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art's Watermall is stunning and the Convention Gala Dinner at Customs House Brisbane will be brilliant once again! So much to look forward to and there is not better time than now to register and start to plan your travel! Check out the convention website https://www.churchilltrust.com.au/qld/convention/ for all relevant detials and to register!
