24.01.2022 Just in case this musical thought hadn’t already come to you: in churches right now you are allowed to have 5 singers on stage as long as there is social distancing being practiced. Can I suggest that rather than adding singers into the worship band that you invite anyone (rotate each week) who would like to worship in song to be part of the 4 person choir up front without a mic? This will seriously bless some people in your communities and also serve as a reminder that church worship is just that: worship. #everyonegetstoplay
23.01.2022 Church on the Hill Gathering 27/09- Joshua 4 I like to edit these normally before uploading, but our computer is having a moment this week. So it will be Kath Henry unplugged. But for those of you who know Kath- this is all gold! Kath is sharing some encouragement which Church on the Hill listened to on Sunday. Joshua was not a naturally courageous man, but he learned courage as he faithfully walked with God and with Moses. His story as a hero of the Old Testament is one ...about finding your strength in God rather than yourself. God is the true hero of our story. Thanks Kath for this wonderful encouragement https://youtu.be/0-plkx4TN-w

21.01.2022 This house church is so amazing! Each week, we are having new believers and seeing healing is present, offering is taken up, fun, singing and the name of Jesus is glorified.
13.01.2022 In case you missed Sunday’s message- here is a short grab. It is actually the prayer from the end of my last post. But it has been circling my brain so I have attached just the prayer. It really is a suffocating thing to be consumed by self. Please pray along with me for hearts to pursue Jesus passionately https://youtu.be/pwuxmZfqmpU
13.01.2022 It's been a while since I have posted one of our talks from Sunday. Partly this is because we are doing them live...and partly because our computer crashed a month or so ago and we are only now picking up the pieces. Here is one which is worth your time I think. Our core value as a church #03: Being Jesus Destined. While there's more to it than this, one of the things I share is that Christianity is at heart not a self-help journey, but a God journey. I pray this is a blessing. https://youtu.be/yTrFD1758GA
11.01.2022 I have wondered this very much during 2020. And particularly when I hear the phrase I can’t wait for this to be over..... And I do truly get it, the feeling that we want this roller coaster of 2020 to be over, we wish the goalposts wouldn’t keep moving, we wish we didn’t have to second guess every social interaction. But maybe, God is asking us to remember to swim rather than tread water. And maybe we need to learn to swim differently rather than wait for the ride to ch...ange. Maybe it’s time if you haven’t done this yet, to begin to ask God to help you swim these waters and find the love of swimming which has always been in you. I’m not saying this is an easy thing to do. But it isn’t easy already. It could be as simple as a prayer of faith to God: Father, this year has done my head and heart in. I am tired. But I don’t want to just keep trying to hold my breath and wait for this to be over. I want to find you today, find your grace, find the ability to say THIS is the day that the LORD had made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. Teach me to swim this tide, show me how to live in the midst of these times and follow you, whatever comes. Amen.
11.01.2022 #01- worship trumps even believing Even though we are on break this week- my heart is still so with our church community that I have been thinking a lot of them all day! Hope this is an encouragement to keep pursuing God. Sometimes we understand and sometimes we don’t. But worship does not make me its centre but God. I follow. Usually it makes sense later, but if I only follow when I understand it is me at the centre not Jesus. ... https://youtu.be/IdtLxbtIicA
10.01.2022 What's in the linen cupboard of your life? Integrity means that what people see on the outside is not too different to what is going on inside. The story of Absalom, #05 in the Heroes and Villains series, is an example of someone who lacked integrity. But it is also a sad story, of someone who was angry at a genuinely wrong thing, but did not forgive or do anything helpful with the anger. Hope this is a blessing to you- can I encourage you to actively look for ways to forgive people in your own life? https://youtu.be/_QlR9MS1xVk
09.01.2022 This is one way we are reading the Bible at the moment: Up, Down, In, Out. It is a pretty simple framework to use and very reproducible. Feel free to use this method if you like- it is one I adapted from someone else’s methods. PM for more details if needed
07.01.2022 Good guys talking about good stuff
06.01.2022 What a joy to be together with the CotH family today. This was all that remained of a re-enactment of the battle of Jericho. It was fun, it was worshipful, it was an Everyone Gets to Play gathering, thank you Jesus!

01.01.2022 CotH Sunday Gathering Sept 27: Joshua 4:1-14 We are so happy to be hearing from our dear friend Kath Henry today, who will be sharing her reflections on the Old Testament hero Joshua. See you at 3pm.
01.01.2022 Today we were blessed by another of the churches in our town, who have allowed us to run our gatherings there for a few weeks. It was a wonderful space, and allowed us to all be together pretty much in the same place. Thank you Gloucester COC.

01.01.2022 Last Sunday's message- 2 Kings 5 (live from the old sheep trough!) Naaman had leprosy of the body, but even worse, leprosy of the heart: pride. His pride kept Him from being healed but God chose to give love and healing to this man. Hope this is a blessing to you. https://youtu.be/S8gVrgJv6YY
