08.01.2022 I just read about Decebalus' daughter Dochia and it led me to reading about the Dacian god Zalmoxis. Who was preceded by Zeuta (Zeus) & Decenius. I am research...ing the connection of Maori people to Zeus as the name of the Maori God is Io. In Greek "mythology", which I argue are metaphors of actual events from ancient history, Zeus fell in love with Io, the highest priestess in the Temple of his wife Hera. Io refused Zeus affection & was turned into a white heifer (cow) & banished across the Bosphorus. The term "Heretic" "to denounce God" comes from this event. Breaking the mythology down to real events I am convinced that Zeus or Hera banishes or killed Io out of anger or jealousy & her high ranking family & followers, including her uncle Oceanus, denounced the god Zeus & left for Turkey & Egypt, historically this was the path of the ancient Ionians, a people, like Io & her relations departed ancient Greece for Turkey & Egypt. Coincidence, or as the name suggests, the same migration. The actions of Io created some form of religious beatification as in her example she revealed Zeus & maybe no man could be a true god & so the Ionians went back to worshipping nature, the universe & likely the sun. Here's the most important link, Io was renamed Isis by the Egyptians & worshipped. Egyptians & Maori share the same word for the sun, being Ra & with the Maori word for supreme being Io, I believe a heriditary connection exists through a passage of time & travel from the ancient Ionian descendants of Io. Interestingly enough many women in Romania are named Ioana. I am researching more to try to establish how Dacians, modern day Romanians, Greeks, Turks & so many other cultures, including Maori, are linked back to this decisive event between would be god, Zeus, his jealous wife Hera & the beautiful high priestess Io, who in an act of defiance (herecy) divided the ancient world forming pockets of her descendents around the globe. It mystifies me that these links have not been connected & no academic documents exist.
