17.01.2022 A cosy number of 20 odd members enjoyed a Christmas get together at Yeronga RSL along with a nice meal. A good catchup with many; most voted the backscratchers and torches as being their favourite CICADA Santa gift. We welcomed new members too. Our photo waves to our Sunshine Coast counterparts.

16.01.2022 RAFFLE RESULTS 2020 Congratulations to all our winners. A nice tidy sum in time for Christmas. CICADA Queensland wishes to thank all for their wonderful support

15.01.2022 There are thousands of Australians who have a hearing loss and do not know Auslan sign language but rely on lip reading, which is not perfect. CAPTIONS are the answer and should be provided free of charge to all that need them to allow for inclusivity in life! We need to make this happen!!!!

14.01.2022 Merry Christmas to everyone from CICADA Queensland Sunshine Coast Group, we had a lovely Christmas Break UP yesterday at the beautiful Sunshine Castle Bli Bli, hope you ALL enjoy the festive season and that 2021 brings us a fantastic year.

03.01.2022 Dear CapTel handset user An important announcement regarding the use of your CapTel handset. Apparently, some sources of information within Australia are advising CapTel handset users that the delivery of CapTel services will be switched off by mid-December or in January.... Captioned Telephony Service (CTS - Australia) is presently in discussion with the USA provider and CTS understands that no such decision has been made to terminate delivery of the service and existing Australian users should continue to utilise their CapTel handset if that is their preferred means of telecommunication while long term in-country support for Captel service is investigated. Please visit our website https://www.captionedtelephonyservice.com/ or https://www.facebook.com/savecaptel/ to stay up to date on CapTel. Kind regards Tony Bennetts CEO Captioned Telephony Service
