13.01.2022 I want you to think about your favourite restaurant, cafe, breakfast spot, or eatery. I want you to think about the owners that you like and the staff members t...hat remember your name. Right now, they're scared. One in three small businesses fail during good times. Chances are, some of your favourite local businesses will not survive this shut-down. Some will be staying up tonight around the kitchen table figuring out how they will pay their staff and pay their rent with a take away menu. Most will struggle. If you can afford it, please make an effort to support your local hospitality industry during this time. Order take away, and if you want delivery try and order it through the venue as Uber Eats takes a valuable slice of the restaurant's meagre profits. If we don't make an effort to support these businesses now, they may not be there when the shut-down is lifted. People have asked a number of times what they can do to be a good citizen during this crisis, how they can make a positive contribution to the community. Well here is your first task. Order from your favourite restaurant or cafe this week, as much as you can afford, they need you more than ever.
