25.01.2022 The Batlow CiderFest committee is very mindful of the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. We are keen to keep the welfare and safety of our volunteers, stakeholders and patrons paramount in our event planning. As such we have decided to follow the recommendations and instruction from the Federal and NSW governments as well as the Snowy Valleys Council. Disappointingly our decision then is that Batlow CiderFest 2020 will not be taking place on Saturday 16 May. Our c...ommittee is keen to have a 2020 event and will be reviewing the situation regularly with the possibility of re-scheduling it for later in the year. In the meantime we will continue our planning to be ready to hold the event when it is safe and practical to do so. Our town of Batlow and surrounds have been dealt a double whammy with first the devasting bushfires and now the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. We will need a great deal of support once this is all over and our volunteers and community are looking forward to visitors attending our event once a date has been determined. They plan to make this the BEST Batlow CiderFest yet and a great recovery party for all! 18.01.2022 Our great friends at Mouats Farm Batlow, have re-opened their farm gate stall just in time to share their wonderful new season Gala apples with everyone. They are Bright Red, Crisp, Juicy and Sweet. Just as you would expect from Batlow. One way to show your support for Batlow Orchardists following the terrible Dunns Road Fire is to pay a visit to one of our farm gate shops like Mouats Farm and pick up some wonderfully fresh produce. 02.01.2022 Due to the ongoing uncertainty associated with COVID-19, it's impact on large public gatherings and our concerns for the safety and welfare of our volunteers and patrons, the committee have decided to officially cancel the Batlow CiderFest for 2020. We now look toward the 2021 Batlow CiderFest (15th May) and will be investing our time and effort to ensure next years festival is the biggest and best yet. So.... today, on Batlow CiderFest Day 2020, take a moment to recall your favourite memories of past CiderFest's. Share a photo, tag a CiderFest friend and spare a thought for Batlow and our Cider vendors who have also been hit hard by the social distancing measures. Throughout today, we'll be posting the company logo's and online links for our 2020 Cider vendors. Check-out their info, and please support these businesses if you can.
