23.01.2022 I am a circle space facilitator! I hold pregnant women and birth in highest reverence. I know birth can be super charged, epic, most amazing and crazy thing a body can do & I have felt it’s power of transformation. Birth can change cells and re-pattern a woman’s birth lineage instantly and this claiming of sovereignty expands into her relationships, her sexuality or sexual vitality, her perceptions, her parenting and her power in the world. ... Do you want to claim this as your own ? The inner work required for such is done during pregnancy and a perfect space is in circle . Pregnancy Circle participation is an opportunity to gather with other woman and feel into what you are really feeling , desiring , wanting to voice, have witnessed, create, let go, process or integrate . It’s a place to be, be loved and your pregnant bones nourished - truly! It’s a time for connection and a place to grow your mind and courage. And the next one is November 29 at 3pm... link@in bio ! Pregnancy Circle facilitated by Cindy Fenn Big Hearted Birth. Sunday 29 November ... 2pm-5pm $30 Link in bio for payment Be nourished , feel connected, experience reverence and relaxation . See more
10.01.2022 Let’s sing this loud ... women birthing in their sovereign space, time, place, supported by midwifery care and care through the lens of their cultural birthing practises. Having birthed at home twice I understand how this affects birth outcome ... Read Teisha’s comments on her glorious on country homebirth. ... Respecting individual choice is central to the BoC model. The identification of ‘risk factors’ is viewed through a cultural lens inclusive of the individual woman’s needs and cultural birthing practices, which enriches and informs their choices, assessment and planned care. @birthtimeworld NAIDOC week. Always Was Always Will Be. With the deepest respect and love and with the family’s blessings, we share these images of @teish_giirl and her family, Birthing on Country....Yuin Country. Words can’t describe the profound honour it was for @midwifejohunter and @jerushasutton to attend as midwife and photographer/videographer, along with beautiful second midwife @louisedavidmidwifelc As so eloquently written in the joint Birthing on Country position statement - Respecting individual choice is central to the BoC model. The identification of ‘risk factors’ is viewed through a cultural lens inclusive of the individual woman’s needs and cultural birthing practices, which enriches and informs their choices, assessment and planned care. YOU DID IT TEISHA, may this just be the beginning. Teisha’s words.... Birthing on Country and what a glorious day it was. BoC is the way our woman have always given birth to her child, on the lands of ancestors, ensuring a spiritual connection to the land for her baby. Yesterday we birthed our baby son Nullah Rungatahi Mulligamiriyara Toi out on country where my songlines sing many songs of the past, present and future, where the fresh water meets the salt water and the mountains meet the ocean. HAPPY NAIDOC WEEK MY PEOPLE MY PEOPLE . In our family we celebrate who we are and where we came from every single second of every day. Thank you to our private midwives who were also part of this amazing experience. #birthingoncountry #yuincountry #yuinbaby #wiradjuribaby #itstime #birthtime
05.01.2022 The wind is in their ears ... a teacher’s Lament on a windy day when young children plug in to the windy elements - their developing nervous system is at the wind’s mercy! Holding centredness is a skill to learn as we age and a path to true freedom and sovereignty. Despite everything outside of you , can you stay open and grounded in your body!... Do you have you ? This skill is important in pregnancy to hold your own energy when navigating birth choices (think the hospital system) , build birth capacity mindset (think belief you can birth), connect with your inner guidance (think intuition for birth) and great importance your baby who is also on this journey ! However , equally important is to feel good and comfortable in your feminine energy. Moving with non-linear movement of the hips and pelvis will help get your practise for embodying the labour experience ... labour happens in the body- the hormones and sensation effect the body . So you need both practises : stillness of the mind AND trust in feeling and moving energy of the body !!!!! See more
