The French term plein air means out of d...oors and refers to the practice of painting entire finished pictures outdoors. Take a ‘plein air’ outdoor painting workshop with local artist/curator Dr Elizabeth Edmonds (Petrichor Gallery) and be inspired by the wilderness. You’ll learn some of the natural history of the area, principles of ‘plein air’ landscape watercolour painting, tools of the trade to paint in the field and complete a number of small art pieces exploring colour palette, composition and techniques. A workshop for all ages and experience. 20.01.2022 DENMARK VISITOR CENTRE TO RE-OPEN A deal between a Denmark Tourism group and local shire will reopen the Denmark Visitor Centre reopen in time for the school ho...lidays. Representatives from Denmark Tourism Incorporated raised concerns about the centre remaining closed during the holidays at last week's council meeting. Operations Manager Beverley Ford says she's trying to find volunteers to re-open the centre by next week. Mrs Ford says she hopes eventually a budget and contract will be signed with Denmark Council to enable the centre to remain open. "A little bit of back to the future and we have some innovative ideas on how best we can do that to create a sustainable visitors centre," she says.

Please note: This guided walk is offered daily except during school holidays, peak periods, or inclement weather. The guided walk is not suitable for strollers, wheelchairs or those with mobility issues, however the Tree Top Walk is fully accessible.
