13.01.2022 2020 Kart Shed ACT Titles Ready to Roll The excitement starts today with the smell of 2 stroke wafting through the air at Circuit Mark Webber in the Nations Capital. CKRC President, Bob Harnas, is one man who has worked tirelessly in preparing for the biggest ACT Titles held for a long time. The CKRC Has been looking forward to hosting this event and we have been working tirelessly in preparing for what looks to be a great next few days. Harnas said... Like all these events we couldn’t do it without our sponsors, this year we have the Kart Shed returning as the major sponsor, which is wonderful and we’ve also secured class sponsors which all goes to help in bringing together an enjoyable event for all the competitors. Bob Harnas went on to say I also want to make a special mention to Dino and his team at DGroup. You will see their signs around the track, as most people will know DGroup are the contractors who have been responsible for delivering the new track extension. Everyone will agree they have done an exceptional job. The relationship between the DGroup and CKRC continues, with the planning of the next stage of upgrades well and truely underway. DGroup not only have gone above and beyond with the extension so far, but they also continue to contribute to the track by helping around in improving the facilities. Only yesterday I made a call the DGroup to assist in tidying up the entry to Circuit, within 2 hours they sent their machines and a load of gravel and tidied it all up. They have also dug out and relayed gravel traps, cleaned up and prepared the machinery shed for concreting. The list goes on. All this work is not part of their contract, but when asked for help they are always willing and alway do a professional job. We are very fortunate to have such a great partner in the DGroup. The Canberra Kart Racing Club is looking forward to the excitement and fun this weekend and wish all the competitors all the best for the 2020 Kart Shed ACT Titles

01.01.2022 Canberra Kart Racing Club would like to acknowledge and thank PCR for sponsoring the Rookie Class at the Kartshed ACT Titles.

01.01.2022 Canberra Kart Racing Club grows to 600 Members In 2019 CKRC set out on the journey to attract more members to the club and have its facilities enjoyed by as many karters possible. Back in August 2019 the CKRC membership was a little over 100, it has now reached 600 members and growing.... Many factors have contributed to this achievement CKRCs Membership Liaison Manager, Brett Staples said. Certainly the attraction of the fantastic new facilities here at Circuit Mark Webber has been a major contributor, but there has been other factors too. The decision to make the membership affordable was also a big reason. At only $100 a year, which equates to $1.92 per week. Added to this you can practice Pretty much anytime 9am to 5pm Monday to Sunday when the track isn’t hosting events. I think that makes excellent value for money. CKRC President, Bob Harnas , the man behind the push in growing the membership, said Karting NSW hard work in continuing to bringing the cost of Karting down also cannot be ignored as a reason for the growth. One of the exciting things to come out of this is a steady growth in Novice and Rookie fields along with new commers to the senior classes. Further proof that the changes KNSW has put in place are working. This is a great sign for the future of the sport and especially here in the Nations Capital. If you would like to be a member of the Canberra Kart Racing Club you can join us on line via the KNSW app.

01.01.2022 Canberra Kart Racing Club members, a working bee to complete maintenance of the track and facilities will be held on Sunday, 15 November 2020 from 9am to 5pm in preparation for the Canberra Cup. Please bring whipper snippets, rakes, shovels, sledgehammers, secateurs, weed sprayers, gloves, etc. Remember, many hands make light work.
