24.01.2022 All of us here at Circular Body Solutions hope you had a Very Merry Christmas. It is a hard time of year to monitor your weight and eat healthy. With Christmas dinners and going away on holidays sticking to a diet is almost impossible. Here are a few tips to help navigate through this period.... 1. Don't beat yourself up It's ok to have a bad day of eating, maybe even two. But the secret is to get back on the horse again (so to speak) as soon as possible. 2. Eat healthier choices If someone else is doing the cooking for you its not possible to avoid eating some foods not good for you, but limit the damage by what you eat. 3. Remember your portion sizes It's easy with all the delicious food to start piling food on to your plate, but remember to limit the amount of each food you eat. This way you can have a little of everything without going overboard 4. Keep eating times as regular as possible While on holidays remembering to eat at your normal times becomes harder, with sleep ins and going out meals become erratic. But the effects of eating all over the place can affect your weight drastically. Have an enjoyable Christmas holidays and remember to eat healthy
12.01.2022 Firstly all of us here at Circular Body Solutions would like to wish you all a very happy and safe new year. New years eve can be an enjoyable night where we let our hair down and probably drink way too much. So before we go out and drink I wanted to give a couple of tips to reduce calories and that evil hangover in the morning 1. One gram of alcohol has 7 calories which is almost the equivalent of fat( 9 calories ). To avoid drinking too much swap after every alcoholic beve...rage to a glass of water, or sugar free soda. 2. Alcohol is a diuretic, therefore the more you drink the thirstier you get. Remember to drink plenty of water through the day leading up to tonight and swap your drinks between alcohol and water/sugar free sodas. 3. Before bed tonight remember to have a glass of water to assist with rehydration. Above all, drink safe, have a designated driver (if drinking) and have a happy new year #NewYearsResolution2021 #getfit #circularbodysolutions #imagineaspireachieve

04.01.2022 The new year has arrived and excitedly we make our resolutions for all the things we want to change for the new year. But how do we then continue that resolution throughout 2021. The most common resolutions are to get in shape, go on a diet to lose weight and eat healthier. This time of year the number of gym memberships taken up as of the first of January drastically increases. But what happens next is the scary part? Normally by week 3 the gym visits have started to reduce.... By June 1/2 of the new years resolutions have failed and by August half of the new gym members have stopped going altogether, and what's worse is you are still paying that 12 month gym membership. There are a number of reasons this happens. Firstly by week 3 most of us are back at work and life gets in the way again. Then there is the feeling of failure when we set our goals too high. which inevitably stops us from trying. But the most common reason is because we don't have support. How can we help you to lose that extra weight and eat healthier? 1, Start with some realistic goals. There is no point making a goal of running a marathon by March if you havent run at all in 5 years 2. Eat healthy Diets are usually fads. You might lose weight while you are on the diet but what happens when you come off it. By cutting out a particular food you change your body but not for the better. 3. Get some support around you. The type of support you need is not just family and friends, but people who understand how to exercise properly and eat healthy. Together we can do this. #circularbodysolutions #newyearsresolution #getfit #imagineaspireachieve #penrith #FitnessForAll #loseweight #eathealthy
02.01.2022 It's never easy to start a new journey. Whether it's a new diet, new exercise program or just changing your eating habits to be healthier. It normally takes 6 weeks to make something a habit so how do we stay motivated until it is? Here are a couple of tips to help you to make that change stick. For healthier eating, start by cleaning out your cupboards. Remove all your unhealthy snacks, like chips and biscuits and take away the urge to eat junk when you feel a bit peckish. ... Plan your meals. Before you go shopping make a list of the meals you will make for the week taking into consideration any activities which may impact on your preparation time. When starting a new exercise program set goals. What do you want to achieve? Why are you exercising? Make your goals achievable. Find someone who can exercise with you. And make physical activity a daily thing. Go for a walk or run everyday, even if it's only a few hundred metres at first. When trying to lose weight, determine why you want to lose weight? Make the reason about you. Weight loss is not about everybody else or to look a certain way. It's about your health. Be realistic about the amount of weight you want to lose. The average weight loss per week is between 500g to 1kg. Don't expect to lose 5kg in a week. To have sustainable weight loss and build a healthy lifestyle it has to be done slowly. Getting to the point of being overweight took years, it will take time to lose it. Most of all when you start a new journey remember to celebrate every win. If it's no take away for a week, or going for a walk every day or losing 200g go out and do something for yourself. Just make sure you don't make those treats food related. And remember it takes 6 weeks to build this habit so forgive yourself if you miss that gym session or you eat one night of takeaway. Acknowledge that you did and start working towards your goal again. #circularbodysolutions #imagineaspireachieve #newyearsresolution #getfit #penrith #FitnessForAll #loseweight #eathealthy
