23.01.2022 The 5th Australian Circus Festival’s Lifetime Achievement Awarded goes Bekki Ashton! Bekki is the 6th Generation circus performer from the Ashton Family, one of... Australia’s oldest largest circus dynasties and grew up touring with her grandparents Ashton’s Circus around Australia. Bekki has performed in a number of shows and productions both here in Australia and overseas. She is extremely proud to be the 1st and only Australian woman to perform the triple somersault on the Flying Trapeze and still holds the title to this day. Her recent years have been spent touring with Circus Joseph Ashton and Infamous.

Watching his children carry on the family dynasty. With every trick and tumble, his big heart would soar. The proudness he felt each and every time they entered the ring to rousing applause. Whether it be juggling, bareback or flying, in his eyes there were no brighter stars. Today the tent is dark, the sawdust not replaced, as the circus crew got a new member at its ticket gate.
