08.01.2022 With COVID-19 restrictions still in place, teachers are not allowed to prepare food in the classrooms, so our cooking students are busy preparing school lunches for everyone. Lead by Ian and Bernie they have been cooking up a storm. It has been awesome to work in our new commercial kitchen and use fresh herbs that have been grown in the garden.

06.01.2022 Cire in Iso - By Hannah D Cire Community School’s photography class held an exhibition on Friday the 26th of June, which was on the last day of term 2. The theme was self-isolation and health and wellbeing. We planned on going to amazing places around the Yarra Valley, but that was changed with the world pandemic COVID-19, so we stuck with taking photos around school, at home and even used some of our old photos. The photography class worked very hard together as a team and s...howed many skills in getting the exhibition ready on time. The Art class also added some lovely work to the event. Some of the art and photography pieces had to be completed at home with remote learning; it was great to see students work on their studies during this challenging time. The preparation for the exhibition took a few weeks to get underway, but once it was close to time, everyone stood up to their roles and got the job done. We are so thankful for the music class for providing music for the event. On the day we had a small team of people prepare some food and drinks which made the event a nice place to hang out. We had a plan for following social distancing, but we still managed to have the school community together. Some of the comments from students and staff include; It was a great day, I enjoyed it, I really liked the set up, The food was really good, Fantastic work from all the students, Your group inspired people, The community was nice. It was a happy event getting the school community together. #cirecommunityschool #community #photography #photographyclass
