21.01.2022 CISaustralia alumni and Deakin University students had such a wonderful time on our Wildlife Conservation and Rhino Research program in Uganda this past January. They have since raised USD $5,000 to name a baby rhino and support the sanctuary. Baby Jabali was born in August. His name means 'inner strength' chosen in light of the current global pandemic. Those involved in the fundraiser were Deakin students Erica Hoggett, Craig Pullen, Emily O'Beirne and Laura Firipis, plus two people from Belgium they met while volunteering. So amazing to hear that the students got so much out of their experience and are continuing to contribute to the wildlife sanctuary!
