25.01.2022 Norway has had gender quotas for company boards for many years and now, approximately 80 countries around the world have implemented some form of regulated female participation at the board table. The analysis of the impact of introducing this quota is extremely mixed, with McKinseys research showing a strong correlation between woman on boards and company health, but the Economist indicating no effect whatsoever. We ask the question, does it matter? Why should the justif...ication of having/supporting a gender quota have to be linked to BETTER business performance. Female Directors have the right to be just as bad and held to the same account as male. What do you think? Board quotas - Yes/No and why?

12.01.2022 Following our experience moving to #WFM during Lockdown, we have offered Cited staff flexible working arrangements on an ongoing basis; 1 day - everyone is at the office, 1 day - you and your team are together in the office and 3 days you have the option to work where you work best. Is it going to work? Whats your organisation doing? The Australian Psychology Review seems to think there are pros and cons. https://hubs.ly/H0tcq7g0

10.01.2022 Most of Australia's population lives near the coast, so what are the things you need to consider if you are planning a festive event at the beach: 1. Access. No use picking a beach with a car park miles away and a long, deep sand pathway for Nanna to traverse. 2. Breeze. In WA the notorious sea-breeze can come hard and early - so make your visit in the morning. Pick your time to suit your location. 3. Licence laws. Champagne breakfast? Don't contravene the liquor lice...nsing laws in your state. No-one wants to see Mum carted away by the boys and girls in blue because she defended her right to an early morning Prosecco. 4. Authenticity. Let's be honest - a beautifully set picnic table looks awesome on Instagram, but don't let the image get in the way of connection with family and friends. 5. Luggage. And setting up that IG image can mean lugging a lot of stuff to the beach - keep it light as a trip to the Emergency Dep't to treat a back injury isn't fun. 6. Activities. Even if you don't play, Beach cricket is an institution and often ends up being communal. Take a bat and ball and get everyone around you involved. 7. No worries. Christmas can be stressful for everyone and we often put a lot of pressure on ourselves to make sure everything is perfect. Don't stress - a beach Christmas is an excuse NOT to go overboard. 8. Sun & surf. Yes, the beach is a brilliant venue for a gathering - but don't forget to remember to pay attention to the sun and surf - both of which have the potential to take the edge off the day. 9. Community. Being at the beach means you will be around lots of strangers. Just remember that good will is contagious - so spread a little when you have the chance. So plan ahead and enjoy...

09.01.2022 Is your #WFM policy putting employees at risk? Many major organisations have seen the opportunity to slash costs by implementing, and in some instances, enforcing #WFM models. But statistics released in July by the Australian Institute of Criminology, shows that there HAS been a spike in domestic violence. So before you embrace this new world (where you have a choice), consider all the safety factors for your employees. #safety #WFM https://hubs.ly/H0tcpf30

08.01.2022 Did you ever fall into the trap of thinking that Australia, with its tiny population, has little potential to help halt climate change? Well seriously reconsider that thought. An incredible study released by a team of scientists from the Universities of Connecticut and Sao Paulo, rank Australia as 4th in the list of countries with enough tree restoration potential to halt man-made climate change by 2030. You read that right - our little country can literally play a major part in saving the world by planting trees. https://hubs.ly/H0l4jKY0

06.01.2022 Are your key identity documents in different names? To ensure you have the easiest application process when you apply for a National Police Clearance online, ensure that the required 4 Identity documents are in the same name - and when we say the same - we mean exactly the same. If not, you have to submit proof that you are indeed the same person. This proof includes Govt issued Marriage Certificates or a certificate from Births, Deaths and Marriages.
