From 6pm tonight until 6pm Monday, people in the loc...al government areas of Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Redlands and Logan will be required to stay at home except: Shopping for essentials, food and necessary supplies Medical or healthcare needs, including compassionate requirements Exercise with no more than one other person, unless all from the same household Providing care or assistance to an immediate family member Work, or volunteering, or study if it is not reasonably practicable to work or learn remotely Child custody arrangements Legal obligations Visit for end of life Attend funeral or wedding in line with restrictions Further restrictions include: No more than two visitors to the household per day (in addition to anyone else currently staying in the household), excluding care workers or volunteers All businesses that can remain open must adhere to one person per 4 square metres with maximum of 20 to 50 with COVID Safe or Industry Plan Restaurants and cafes to provide takeaway service only Cinemas, entertainment and recreation venues, gyms etc to close Places of worship to close Weddings involve a maximum of 10 people, including the celebrant and witnesses Funerals involve a maximum of 20 people Mandatory mask wearing anywhere outside of your home No visitors to aged care facilities, hospitals, disability accommodation services or correctional facilities. 23.01.2022 If in doubt - wear a mask. At 6pm, Monday 11 January face masks are mandatory in certain premises in Greater Brisbane. If you are in an impacted area or have ...been in an impacted area at any time since 7am 2 January, you must carry a face mask with you at all times. You must wear a mask in indoor spaces, except in your home. For example: shopping centres, supermarkets, retail outlets and indoor markets hospitals and aged care facilities restaurants and cafes, except when you are eating or drinking churches and places of worship libraries indoor recreational facilities and gyms indoor workplaces (where you can't socially distance) airport terminals and on your flight public transport and when in taxis or rideshare vehicles. You must carry a face mask with you at all times when you leave home, unless you have a lawful reason not to. This is in case you require your face mask, for example, if you aren’t able to keep 1.5 metres distance from other people or enter a public indoor space. It is strongly recommended that you wear a face mask outdoors when you are unable to stay more than 1.5 metres from other people, such as transport stops, busy walkways and thoroughfares. Children under 12 years old and people affected by a medical condition or disability are exempt.

10.01.2022 COVID-19 update for Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounds In response to recent positive COVID-19 cases, a range of measures have been put in place for the belo...w local government areas across greater Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounds. Brisbane City Ipswich City Logan City Scenic Rim Somerset Region Lockyer Valley Moreton Bay Redland City The below measures come into effect immediately: Gatherings in private homes and public spaces will be restricted to a maximum of 10 people. These limits do not apply to businesses operating under a COVID Safe plan. Residential aged care and disability accommodation facilities have restrictions on visitors and residents leaving the facility Hospitals have been asked to restrict visitors as soon as possible Hospital emergency departments, aged care facilities and disability accommodation facilities will use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including face masks and gloves to treat all patients and residents. Extra restrictions have also been put in place for movement and gatherings in all other Queensland areas outside of the above listed local government areas. 09.01.2022 Queensland has 1 case of coronavirus (COVID-19) today. A Bundamba woman who works at the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre, has tested positive to coronavirus (CO...VID-19). She has been admitted to Ipswich Hospital and currently has minor symptoms. There are currently 8 active cases of COVID-19 in Queensland. Currently, 5 of the active cases are in hospital. To date, 1,081 people have recovered and sadly, 6 people have died of the disease. This brings the total number of cases to 1,093. Each day, total cases may not equal active plus recovered plus deaths, as information for some cases is still pending and will be updated in due course.
