20.01.2022 Queensland has 1 case of coronavirus (COVID-19) today. A Bundamba woman who works at the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre, has tested positive to coronavirus (CO...VID-19). She has been admitted to Ipswich Hospital and currently has minor symptoms. There are currently 8 active cases of COVID-19 in Queensland. Currently, 5 of the active cases are in hospital. To date, 1,081 people have recovered and sadly, 6 people have died of the disease. This brings the total number of cases to 1,093. Each day, total cases may not equal active plus recovered plus deaths, as information for some cases is still pending and will be updated in due course. Brisbane City Ipswich City Logan City Scenic Rim Somerset Region Lockyer Valley Moreton Bay Redland City The below measures come into effect immediately: Gatherings in private homes and public spaces will be restricted to a maximum of 10 people. These limits do not apply to businesses operating under a COVID Safe plan. Residential aged care and disability accommodation facilities have restrictions on visitors and residents leaving the facility Hospitals have been asked to restrict visitors as soon as possible Hospital emergency departments, aged care facilities and disability accommodation facilities will use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including face masks and gloves to treat all patients and residents. Extra restrictions have also been put in place for movement and gatherings in all other Queensland areas outside of the above listed local government areas.
