25.01.2022 This is my girlfriend Roma. She comes to us twice a week for daycare and has a stay over once a fortnight when I get extra cuddles! She has a few issues we are ...working through and she just gets better and better every visit. What’s so special about this pic is that I took it from about 50 metres away with a new telephoto lense that attaches to my IPhone. Even at 50 metres away she is still as beautiful as she is pressed against me giving me loves!! See more

25.01.2022 Last year we lost our favourite visitor Poppy, who used to accompany big sis Laura everyday. Now the grand old lady wasn’t too adventurous and after twenty minutes or so, would settle in her favourite spot in the shade under the tree. So now the spot has a permanent reminder to us and a place for other weary wee pooches to rest their souls and how appropriate it was her good mate Tiger, who was the first to try out Poppy’s Perch

25.01.2022 The old fart has hit retirement age but has to slog on cos his business plan didn’t take into account a pandemic caused by some idiot chewing on a half cooked bat! Guess I get to play with with doggies a bit longer!!

24.01.2022 Some of our wonderful guests and daycares over the last few days!

23.01.2022 Wilma, along with Scout, and Alfie and Benson, want to wish their Daddies Heath, Ian and Andrew and the rest of the Western Force Team, good luck for the second round of Super Rugby Australia over in New South Wales. They will be gathered around the telly to watch the games! And Captain Ian Prior, it’s OK to say hi to Scout in the post-match interview! He reacts to hearing your voice on the box! Scout and Alfie and Benson are in the comments section because FB wouldn’t let me post video and photos together!

18.01.2022 Wanna know a secret? We have kept it quiet for quite a while and only shared it with a few regular clients. But after discussing it with other members of the dog community we have been encouraged to share it with all our friends on our Facebook Page! WE DO DAYCARE!!! DOGGIE DAY CARE - SEVEN DAYS A WEEK!!!... So, if you want your favourite family member to pop out and roam our large fenced enclosures for a morning, or the whole day, joining in with our boarding guests in a fully supervised environment, just give us a tingle. It is subject to weather and space as we run at near full capacity year round but if you have an engagement, whether it be a shopping spree, medical appointment, funeral, social function or just an opportunity to maintain social interaction, we'd love to see your pooch. Just call Don on 0450 442 720 and see if we can assist.

18.01.2022 The old boy hit the big 65 mark at the weekend and Boo’s Mum baked a cake! Not a dog friendly cake but the humans enjoyed it!

17.01.2022 It was a hit and miss week with the rain but it didn’t stop our guests enjoying their time at the retreat!

15.01.2022 Happy Ninth Birthday to the most wonderful boy in the world! Our Jet!! Pack Leader at City Dogs Rural Retreat, our favourite son and boyfriend of Laura Sunley, brother of Maddie and Mickey and friend to all that visit (human and canine).

13.01.2022 Our wounded soldier Scout, watching his Daddy on TV. Dad is captain of the Force Rugby Team and is away for a month playing in the Super Rugby Competition on the East Coast.

12.01.2022 Yes!! I love Border Collies, don’t mean to have favourites but just can’t help it and tonight I have five in the house including these two, Lucky in my lap and ...the beautiful Shadow getting a pat. Nothing better at the end of a fourteen hour working day than having these two to snuggle up with!! Tough times or not, I have the best job in the world!! See more

12.01.2022 It’s winter and time to have a few of our more fragile guests inside with us. The more the merrier!!!

06.01.2022 A message to our clients dropping off or collecting pets in the next few weeks. Due to new road construction the entrance to the kennel zone has had temporary roads installed. I’m assured there will be adequate signage but just a reminder that you need to aware of changes to the landscape!
