16.01.2022 DON'T FORGET THE SPEED LIMITS ON THE M1 REDUCE TOMORROW! How much longer will your journey take? As of 1 March, speed limits on the Pacific Motorway will dr...op from 100km/h to 90km/h between M1/M3 merge at Eight Mile Plains to Logan Motorway interchange, and from 110km/h to 100km/h between Logan Motorway Interchange to the Smith Street exit. The RACQ says that the changes are in place to reduce congestion, and improve safety, in the lead up to, and during the Commonwealth Games. So how much longer will your journey take if you're going 10 km/h slower? Dr Karl Kruzelnicki told Nicole Dyer: "On an 80km stretch of road, if you're doing 100 it will take you 48 minutes. If you're doing 110 it will take you about 44."
