18.01.2022 As promised - Massive Announcement #2 - We have the pleasure of telling you that SOUL Incorporated has joined the City Arise family :) and we couldn’t be more honoured to continue building upon the work that SOUL has done to help people in need in our city over the past 12 years. Thank you to Patty and Eileen who have sacrificed for our city to see people helped and homed and we hope with Gods help to continue that legacy and help even more people. SOUL Incorporated (also cal...led SOUL Care and SOUL Soup Patrol) run homes for pregnant women and those with young children who are at risk of homelessness, a soup van feeding people in our community and Villiage women which seeks to build community and friendship. SOUL also runs an upcycle shop which takes donated furniture and repurposes them with love in to beautiful pieces to add to your home. We thank God for his faith in our church to take care of the needs of our community and trust that God will continue to provide the people and resources to meet the needs and heal the hurts of people in our city. And the miracle from God is that these two announcements (this one plus the new building) were unknowingly being offered at the same time and the Church, CREW and SOUL will all be under the one roof!! Only God can work miracles like that .

17.01.2022 Revival Night is back on for term 4 and starts 7:30pm tomorrow night (Wed 21 Oct). We will be having a time of ministry and prayer, come expectant for God to bring you freedom and breakthrough in your life in the areas that are holding you back from your God given purpose. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (NIV) Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. The Holy Spirit will be there, that is his promise as we gather, so come and get freedom in his presence. See you tomorrow night at 3 Arkwright Road Rockingham

16.01.2022 Our last service for the year is this Saturday 19th December 3:30pm @ Salvos Rockingham where we will be celebrating Jesus birth and the incredible miracle it was that Father God would trust humanity with his son Jesus as an infant. Remembering that the birth was just the start of the miracle that unfolded over Jesus life and death. This will be a shorter service as the kids will be with us in the main hall (no kids min). Following the service will be afternoon tea. We are looking forward to seeing you

05.01.2022 Blessed. If you look up blessed in a dictionary you would find a definition of holy, happy or fortunate, but this understanding of the word is difficult to come to terms with in some of the contexts that Jesus is using happiness and fortunate doesn’t really mix with the persecution and slander that Jesus warns of in chapter 5, verses 11-12. Back in Jesus’ day, the Greek word was Makarios, which the amplified bible has expanded on: Blessed (..to be envied, and spiri...tually prosperous with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favour and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions). This definition implies that the blessings that Jesus offers his listeners in Matthew 5:1-12 are more than feelings, but a promise of God’s goodness; they are so much better than any we could find in this world through our own striving, and they are not subject to the storms or tragedies of this world. What Jesus promises us is a joy that comes despite our circumstances, and assures us that even though we mourn, or are poor in Spirit, whether we are persecuted or pure in heart, when we hunger for righteousness, when we are striving to impart peace, or when we are insulted and persecuted and slandered, that regardless of any conditions we may face, we can be deeply satisfied, and rest in God’s favour. I pray that you will experience this blessing from God. Have a great weekend, Jenny
