Seven months after being diagnosed with coronavirus and completing the Virtual TCS New York Marathon 2020 around the Adelaide CBD, Anna hosted runners at Angus Neil Reserve last weekend to raise funds for Backpack SA. We will continue to listen to the advice provided by the Government in relation to COVID-19 and if we need to postpone the event, we will advise all participants as early as possible.... It’s a steep route but perfect if you want a challenge! Bring your favourite fury friend and power through this trail! BIRDWOOD TERRACE This is the perfect family friendly 3km walk! Lined with playgrounds and tennis courts, your whole family will be entertained for the whole day. Park your car up at one end and walk down and back!

At 87 years old, Reg is the oldest participant we have had register for City-Bay 2020!... Approximately 17 years ago Reg had a heart attack and survived a successful quadruple By-pass heart operation. Reg has been training for most of the year - he starts around 4.00am and walks around the main streets of Gilles Plains and the surrounding area to complete the 12kms. How long do I have to complete my virtual run? You have from Saturday 24th of October 2020 - 30th of November to complete your virtual run and upload and submit results. Will I receive a bib to run with? We have virtual bibs! You will be able to download your bib during the registration process and if you'd like, create your own City-Bay experience and print it! Will I receive a medal? Once you have a submitted a result, you will receive a virtual medal. Physical medals will not be provided in 2020. "We are just over in Brisbane (my partner is a Port Power fan, he got a bit too excited thinking they would get in) I’ll send a photo on Monday if that’s okay as we aren’t all together ... I registered for the City-Bay because I look forward to it every year. My partner, Daniel and my boys, Liam and Noah wanted to be a part of this year so we registered as a family. We usually go for a family walk most evenings so we thought it would be fun to do the event together. We want to start doing longer hikes around Adelaide so we thought this would be a great way to start! I did my first City-Bay, 6 years ago with a group of friends I met when my oldest son, Liam started primary school. We joined playgroup at school, quickly became friends with a group of mums. We have continued to enter together most years. The same group of friends and I meet up most Saturday morning to walk together. Liam was diagnosed with autism at the age of 5. He is now 13.. My ex husband, Tommy and I didn’t know much about autism. We joined an autism group Asperlutely Autsome who have been a great support over the years. They include the whole family so it has been great for us to attend events as a family. Over the years we have chosen Asperlutely Autsome or Autism SA as our charity of choice as they both mean a lot to us. We are excited for our City-Bay tops to arrive so we can do this virtual event together as a family. We think it’s worth doing and we are excited to give it a go!" RIESLING TRAIL ... A beautiful walk or run through one of SA's wine region. While the whole route is 35km you can choose to do the Sevenhill to Clare segment which is just over 6km. If you want to bring your kids on an adventure you may be able to hire a go-cart from ‘Funwheels’ at the Caltex Service station nearby! A perfect location where you can make a whole day trip out of your walk! HINDMARSH RIVER WALK The Hindmarsh River Walk is a beautiful picturesque walk that begins at the beach in Victor Harbor and runs along the Hindmarsh River. 04.01.2022 The 2020 48th Westpac City-Bay Fun Run presented by Sunday Mail has been deferred to Sunday 8th November 2020. Registrations are now open at city-bay.org.au Our focus is always on health of participants, volunteers and employees. This will continue to be of primary importance, and we will make changes to ensure a safe and successful event for everyone. We are continually monitoring the state of affairs and are in close contact with the relevant Federal and State Government...s Departments. We shall continue to work closely with these agencies in the lead up to this years event to ensure we have access to the latest advice in relation to COVID-19. We encourage you to keep working on your personal fitness. In recent months, more people have been focusing on their health and have commenced running to keep fit and mentally healthy. Every new runner or walker will be welcome to our event this year and we know that runners new and old will have fun. Once again, our 12-week training workshops will start in mid-August. Training tips will be regularly published in the Sunday Mail in the lead up to the event.
