08.01.2022 Well great news. We listened. I have had numerous calls and conversations with stallholders (not just from the Thursday markets) and community saying they wanted us to run the fortnightly Saturday farmers' markets near Cobb & Co, and things are well on their way. We are having great discussions with TAFE and Training Assets (the State Government organisation who lease and hire out TAFE assets - completely seperate from TAFE), to get this sorted ASAP. 07.01.2022 Waitangi Day commemorates a significant day in New Zealand's history. The Treaty of Waitangi was first signed on 6 February 1840, in a marquee in the grounds of James Busby's house (known as the Treaty House) at Waitangi in the Bay of Islands by representatives acting on behalf of the British Crown and initially, more than 40 Mori chiefs. Expatriate Kiwis will be marking the day in Toowoomba with a public event on Saturday, 25th February from 9am to 3pm to which all are invited. The location is the new Toowoomba Civic Square (behind the library) Save http://www.lovelocalnews.com/events/toowoombas-waitangi-day/

05.01.2022 There are still 30+ appointments available at theToowoomba Donation Centre for whole blood, plasma and platelets donations in the coming week. As blood products have such a short shelf-life (some as little as 5 days from the date of donation), it is very important there is a steady flow of donations rather than peaks and troughs. 1 in 3 of us will need blood or blood products at some point in our lives, however only 1 in 30 donates.
