20.01.2022 It's World Space Week! How will you explore and support children's natural sense of wonder and curiosity about the solar system this week? We'd love to see what you get up to at home! I've included a link to get the ideas flowing! Nasa also has loads of information for Kids and families on their website! Another great resource you may want to check out this week as we consider the broader scope of our world and beyond! https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/572872015071616857/

18.01.2022 As we celebrate book week it gives us a great opportunity to stop and reflect on how the simple act of sharing a story powerfully impacts children's learning journey over the span of their life. Take a look at this! https://raisingchildren.net.au//liter/reading-storytelling

13.01.2022 Great news for Families and Childcare Services. The Government has announced continued support for families and services until the new year. Families will see the 'activity test' relaxed until the end of March and services will continue to receive support payments from the Government until the end of January 2021. P.S. Watch the video to see City Kids used as the backdrop for this story!

10.01.2022 So excited to be open for all our families from today! Looking forward to seeing everyone throughout the week.

07.01.2022 We are proud to recognise NAIDOC Week this week at City Kids Early Learning Centre. NAIDOC Week is celebrated annually around Australia both by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities and non - Indigenous Australians. This year has been a little different due to COVID complications, however we can still continue the journey as Educators and Families, by modelling respect, appreciation and growing in our understanding of local Aboriginal Culture. One amazing opportu...nity lies right on our door step! Have you been to Royal Park? Check out the link to the amazinf vidoe of the space and the story of its design! This local park was designed in consultation with the local Wurunjeri people and provides important connections to nature play and includes some creative play based interpretations of the local Aboriginal knowledge of country and seasons for chidlren to playfully explore. Let us know if you go! I'd love to see the "Eel trap"! https://www.abc.net.au/gard/factsheets/nature-play/9438224 See more

05.01.2022 Last month was "Save the Koala's" month. Our City Kids Community was able to raise enough money to plant a tree in a designated Koala Sanctuary in Queensland! Thank you to our children, families and staff for partnering with us to model respect and care for our plants and animals and for making a difference in our wider world! You can see the link below for more information about planting a tree through the Australian Koala Foundation. Thank you! https://www.savethekoala.com/plant-a-tree
