When we look deeper, this experience is filled with opportunities for learning. 1 - The buckets are placed in size order an introduction to numeracy. ... 2 - The shovels were used to create music developing fine motor abilities. 3 - Singing along to the beat - a literacy experience. 4 - Friends collaborating - the perfect climate for social play. Play and learning are one and the same, which is why providing children with opportunities to engage in hands on learning is at the heart of our practice.

05.01.2022 Transferring knowledge and applying it between contexts. Our children had a great time creating their very own shopping centre: taking on pretend roles as customers, shop keepers and even shop assistants, replenishing stock as they assisted their peers. Such great fun.

05.01.2022 Today we started our ‘Sun Safety’ program with this magnetic board from @cancercouncil. Our children were eager to learn and loved dressing @officialpeppa for all her summer adventures. We will utilise this board daily to learn more about keeping safe in the sun at school.
