A huge thank you to Paul, Will, Kylea and the West Devonport Hockey Club for the weekend - great to be part of the event and to be able to recognise and support mental health awareness in our hockey clubs and community. Looking forward to next year!

24.01.2022 Round 7s TasValve Club Spirit award goes to Jansen Grubb! Even though Jansen isnt playing this year, he is still volunteering his time to coach the Div 2 men. 24.01.2022 City Marians Hockey Club and West Devonport Hockey Club have partnered to host the inaugural Speak Up Stay Chatty round, next Saturday 15th of August at Meecroft Park, Devonport. The round will include our GNL Men and Women and Div 2 Men. We are excited to be part of this round and to be supporting such a worthy cause, raising awareness of mental health for both men and women. Hope to see you there, next Saturday in Devonport! 16.01.2022 GRAND FINAL TIME! After a delayed start and a shortened roster we've come to the last day of the Greater Northern League season for 2020 with the Grand Finals! ...The two best sides in the men's and the women's competitions will take to the pitch to decide who reigns supreme in 2020, and they couldn't be juicier match-ups, with replays of the 2019 grand finals set to offer a double dose of revenge or confirmation of superiority. Both games push back at 1pm on Saturday 3 October with the Men playing in Launceston and the Women playing in Burnie. McKenna Park Sports Complex will host the Women's final between City Marians Hockey Club and West Devonport Hockey Club. Marians have notably beaten the Dragons the last three times they've played, including in the 2019 Grand Final, and also remain completely undefeated since Grand Final Day last year. Will their impressive record hold up once more or can West Devonport cause an upset? The St. Leonards Northern Hockey Centre will host the Men's final between South Launceston Suns Hockey Club and Burnie Baptist Hockey Club. Baptist are the defending premiers but shockingly lost their first game for the year when these two sides met two weeks ago in the semi-final! The Suns will be riding high with a home final but Baptist have several big guns to call on and will be out to spoil the Suns' day. They are going to be spectacular days of action, so head on down to your local hockey centre and support the sport in your region!

10.01.2022 The day all hockey players have been waiting for is now upon us, so we hope you have your gear smelling sweet (including shin pads) and are eager to go. When yo...u enter the complex, we ask that you register your name and mobile number at the station provided at the start of the covered walkway. All other requirements because of Covid will be in place, and we ask that you show patience and respect for those around you. For the resumption of hockey, it has been an enormous responsibility on a select few to have pulled all this together, and we want to recognise their efforts, and those of our colleagues at Smithton and Meercroft Park. We ask that all protocols are adhered to, and welcome any feedback. Lets play it hard and fair. Good luck to all.

09.01.2022 A huge weekend of hockey at Meercroft Park Hockey Ground for the Speak Up Stay Chatty Round for the cup between West Devonport Hockey Club and City Marians Hock...ey Club! The clubs will be playing in support of SPEAK UP Stay ChatTY with the overall winner determined by the aggregate score across all divisions, from the Under 13s all the way to the Greater Northern League teams. It starts on Friday Night at 6:00pm when the U13 teams meet, followed by the U17s at 7:15pm. Then on Saturday its a huge GNL double header with the Women at 12:15pm and the Men at 2pm, followed by the Mens Division 2 clash! Then on Sunday its the decider in the Womens Division 2 at 1:45pm. A great initiative and a great weekend of hockey, so get on down to Meercroft Park and cheer on your club as they play for the cup!

04.01.2022 Tonight we celebrated Ricky Jibba Barretts 600th game with the club! Jibba is a Life Member of our great club and has been a fantastic and hard working member for many years. Whether it is playing, coaching, umpiring, on the committee, supporting our juniors and or supporting all our teams at City Marians, Jibba is always someone who approaches everyone and everything in a positive and supportive manner. 02.01.2022 Goal time! Zac does such a great job filming our GNL games every week so it was awesome that we could return the favour and capture his goal today in the Div 2 mens game! Fantastic effort Zac and well done to our GNL women and men and Div 2 men today, all taking home the win. Good luck to our Div 2 womens sides, both playing in Devonport tomorrow from 12:00.
