21.01.2022 Wowee - what a weekend! City Mission Op Shops launched our biggest store on Saturday with over 1,400 Op Shop lovers joining us throughout the day, to pick up a bargain and celebrate with us. A very big thank you to everyone who came on the day - we were thrilled to share this beautiful new store with our wonderful community. A MASSIVE thank you to all of the amazingly passionate and dedicated volunteers who worked day-in, day-out, to hang clothes, build racking and ram...ps, stock shelves and handle any other job that came their way in the lead up to the launch, and on opening day. At the start of November, this store was an empty shell so we truly couldn't have done this without you all and we are so very grateful! Big shout out to the lovely Lee & Kaye from The Retro Bean, for providing our customers with coffee and ice creams in their awesome big, blue bus! Thank you to Rotary Club of Sandy Bay for manning the sausage sizzle and volunteering in the store throughout the week to get it ready for launch. We are so very thankful for your continued support of Hobart City Mission and our programs. And last but not least, congratulations to the retail team who pulled this all together in just over two weeks! There were lots of late nights and early mornings getting the store ready and they took it all in their stride. This new City Mission Op Shop will support our community for years to come

20.01.2022 Students from The Friends' School joined us just before the launch of our new store, to help set up our kids clothing section. They did such an amazing job making great headway, and doing it in style - striking the secret-agent back-to-back pose with the pricing guns Thank you The Friends' School for jumping on board and putting in such an outstanding effort!
