25.01.2022 Students from The Friends' School joined us just before the launch of our new store, to help set up our kids clothing section. They did such an amazing job making great headway, and doing it in style - striking the secret-agent back-to-back pose with the pricing guns Thank you The Friends' School for jumping on board and putting in such an outstanding effort!

21.01.2022 Did you lose a key yesterday? This was found at our new Moonah Clothing Op Shop yesterday. No details on it, but if you think it might be yours head on in. We're open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday - it will be behind the counter at 15 Main Rd, Moonah

19.01.2022 Did you know that in the 2019/2020 year, around 65,000 kilos of clothing was sent to City Mission Op Shops! That's 65,000kgs of clothing that was saved from landfill! This week is National Recycling Week and is a reminder to all of us to reduce, reuse and recycle! Plus, by donating quality, used items to City Mission Op Shops, you're helping to fund important programs in our community ... Photo courtesy of Swap Society.

08.01.2022 Wowee - what a weekend! City Mission Op Shops launched our biggest store on Saturday with over 1,400 Op Shop lovers joining us throughout the day, to pick up a bargain and celebrate with us. A very big thank you to everyone who came on the day - we were thrilled to share this beautiful new store with our wonderful community. A MASSIVE thank you to all of the amazingly passionate and dedicated volunteers who worked day-in, day-out, to hang clothes, build racking and ram...ps, stock shelves and handle any other job that came their way in the lead up to the launch, and on opening day. At the start of November, this store was an empty shell so we truly couldn't have done this without you all and we are so very grateful! Big shout out to the lovely Lee & Kaye from The Retro Bean, for providing our customers with coffee and ice creams in their awesome big, blue bus! Thank you to Rotary Club of Sandy Bay for manning the sausage sizzle and volunteering in the store throughout the week to get it ready for launch. We are so very thankful for your continued support of Hobart City Mission and our programs. And last but not least, congratulations to the retail team who pulled this all together in just over two weeks! There were lots of late nights and early mornings getting the store ready and they took it all in their stride. This new City Mission Op Shop will support our community for years to come
