23.01.2022 #NationalRecyclingWeek Tip No.5 - Drop it off! There are a lot of items that cannot be put into your kerbside bins as they are not able to be sorted by the machinery or they are hazardous, however, they can still be recycled if taken to the right facility! E-waste including televisions, computers and small appliances can be taken to the Armadale Landfill and Recycling Facility for recycling at no charge.

22.01.2022 Own a property over 5,000m2? If you haven't already, you'll need to get your firebreaks sorted this weekend before inspections start next Tuesday 1 December.

15.01.2022 #NationalRecyclingWeek Tip No.4 - keep it loose! Place recycling as loose items in your yellow lid bin and don’t place anything in plastic bags. The recycling machinery can't separate items when they are bagged so any recycling in plastic bags will end up in landfill.

12.01.2022 Some great news for our region as the City of Armadale welcomes the State Government’s decision to add the proposed ‘viaduct’ option to the tender process for the METRONET extension to Byford. The viaduct proposal has the potential to be a catalyst to double the number of residents, employment opportunities and students in the City Centre, and would enable an expansion of the retail, commercial and residential development." - Cr Ruth Butterfield, Mayor, City of Armadale Read the full media release here: www.armadale.wa.gov.au//city-welcomes-start-metronet-byfor

06.01.2022 SCAM ALERT - 26 November 2020 The City has been made aware of scammers pretending to be from the City of Armadale making contact with residents via text message to request that they make an overdue payment into a nominated account. 05.01.2022 The best way to prevent mosquito-borne disease this mosquito season is to avoid being bitten Applying personal insect repellent (read directions for safe application), covering up by wearing light coloured loose-fitting long sleeve shirts and long pants, and avoiding outdoor exposure to mosquitoes from dusk and the first few hours after dark are just some of the ways you can protect yourself. Learn what the City of Armadale is doing to help 'Fight the Bite' - www.armadale.wa.gov.au/mosquitoes-and-other-pests

05.01.2022 #NationalRecyclingWeek Tip No.3 - Empty and rinse your containers! Removing food scraps from containers, giving them a quick rinse if they are dirty, and emptying out any liquids reduces contamination of other items in your yellow lid bin. This makes sure that materials can be recycled to their full potential!
