If you don’t want that old mattress, those worn tyres or old furniture then get rid of them the right way by taking them to one of the following: Eaglehawk Recycle Shop (at the entrance to the Eaglehawk Landfill)... 24.01.2022 The Fire Danger Period has been declared in Greater Bendigo. The Fire Danger Period is when the CFA restricts the use of fire in the community to help prevent fires from starting. This means you cannot light a fire in the open air unless you have a permit or comply with certain requirements. For more information, visit the CFA website.



23.01.2022 We've recently completed an $820,000 reconstruction of Belle Vue Road and Sullivan Street Golden Square to serve the busy Golden Triangle Industrial Estate. This sustainable project has included the use of recycled glass and asphalt products in the new pavement and has been funded by the Australian Government Roads to Recovery program. Both roads are now open and available to use.

13.01.2022 For the third year in a row, Bendigo’s historic Rosalind Park has retained its prestigious Green Flag award recognising it as one of the best green spaces in Australia. Rosalind Park is the only park in Victoria to receive a Green Flag in 2020. It is also one of only four parks outside of a capital city and one of only nine green spaces in Australia to have received a Green Flag this year.

To ensure we keep our community safe, our Community Christmas Lunch and New Year's Eve fireworks cannot go ahead this year. The Creative Recovery Activation Fund is an opportunity for the local arts and creative industry to maintain and grow its skills, while supporting Greater Bendigo’s many talented creatives who have been unable to work due to cancelled events and the closure of venues. Businesses and individuals are invited to submit an expression of interest application outlining how the...ir idea will activate public spaces. Grants of up to $3,000 will be available. Projects could include visual and performing arts, pop-up concerts, digital and screen-based media, light projections, writing and publishing or poetry readings, broadcasting, temporary art installations, textiles or fashion, provided the idea is inclusive, supports economic recovery and can be delivered in line with COVID-19 restrictions.
