13.01.2022 Residents are invited to share their views on the number of Elected Members that should serve on Council, and how many there should be in each ward. Marion Council, which currently has a Mayor and 12 Councillors representing six Wards, is required to review its structure every eight years Council has released a Representation Review Paper identifying a number of possible Ward structures.... Under the potential changes, the number of Wards could be reduced to between three and five resulting in as few as eight Elected Members. One of the options is to retain the existing structure. The Representation Review is a legislative process which seeks to determine residents views on the number of elected members required to provide fair and adequate representation to the community. 04.01.2022 Marion Council is looking to re-shape the Cove Sports and Community Club at Oval Road, Hallett Cove and we want to hear from you. The club is currently home to five sporting clubs: football (AFL), cricket, soccer, netball and BMX. More than 1600 members share the facility. Significant investments are being made in BMX and soccer that will transfer them from the site to Majors Road, OHalloran Hill. The changes are an opportunity to look at what activities you want at the si...te now and into the future.
