The Integrated Practical Placement (IPP) program is a partnership between our Monash Aquatic & Recreation Centre Oakleigh Recreation Centre and Clayton Aquatics & Health Club teams, Holmesglen and WISE Employment that brings the classroom to the workplace for students who want to study and gain employment in sport and recreation. We’re offering grants of up to $5,000 to support the adaptation and continuation of local community groups and individual creative efforts to help build community resilience and unity during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Some examples may be ‘Zoom’ accounts to enable groups to move their classes online, an art project that focuses on mental health or promoting racial tolerance, a neighbourhood project that encourages connection and reduces social isolation, and other similar projects. 12.01.2022 The first locations for expanded outdoor dining at Pinewood Shopping Village, Mount Waverley are taking shape, with work started this week. Further work to beautify the areas will occur in phase two of the project but our focus for now has been on creating safe outdoor dining areas so hospitality businesses can open up as soon as it’s permitted.

09.01.2022 We provide residential parking permits for residents who live in in streets with parking restrictions. Usually, all residential parking permits expire on 31 October each year, but this year (2020) we are extending the validity of current residential parking permits until 31 October 2021. Residents can rely on using their current permit(s) with no further action required. This is part of our commitment to ongoing support to our community in response to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Letters are also being sent to all residential parking permit holders.
