03.01.2022 Our club has been informed of the below what happened down at Orange aquatic centre this afternoon. Why do management at the Orange aquatic centre continue to get away with lies and close and open the pool when it suits them. I would like this circulated so everyone in Orange so they are aware of what is happening at the Orange aquatic centre because this obviously isn't being communicated what a joke. Unbelievable and disgusted by the orange aquatic pool staff and their sy...stem. I went for swimming with my 4 kids and paid $26.50 and within 30 mins of swimming in the 25m pool we were told to come out of the pool and the reason was the 25m pool is contaminated. 5 minutes before this announcement 2 swimming clubs came including their swimmers and coaches. We saw the pool staff and swimming coaches talk I g to each other in a suspicious manner. When we came out of the pool we decided to stay a bit to see whether this was true. To our surprise we did not see the 2 club swimmers going out, instead we saw the 2 swimming clubs kids wearing their swimming gear and their coaches writing sets on the board. The swimming club formed by the council (Orange Aquatic Club) had only 10 swimmers with 2 lanes. As soon as the public left the announcement came saying the pool is now open. We did not see any life guards cleaning or scoping anything from the 25m pool. This is day robbery and the public should be refunded their money. How are we public going to believe what the pool management say to use? How do we know that the pool is closed genuinely or to accommodate swimming clubs. So unfair. Already the outdoor swimming was closed and when we asked the life guard we were told that the pool has to be closed if lightning is 30km away????? See more

01.01.2022 I would like to congratulate one of COOSC swimmers Tilly Fikkers on breaking a NSW ALL COMERS RECORD in Adelaide on the 22nd January 2019 just before open water nationals. All I can say is that this young swimmer is only 10 years old but is so determined trains hard and this is a well deserved award. Congratulations Tilly I am so proud of you keep up the good work.
